Global Travel Management Directive & Governance Lead (f/m/d)

Then come and join our global team as Global Travel Management Directive & Governance Lead (f/m/d), for building and sustaining the global travel directive framework. The role ensures that Siemens Healthineers has a coherent, business-relevant, and compliant travel directive architecture across countries, supports harmonization with Varian, and enables consistent governance of the travel directive landscape as the organization matures. It provides the directive foundation that allows Siemens Healthineers to manage travel in a structured, scalable, and employee-oriented way.
Choose the best place for your work – Within the scope of this position, it is possible, in consultation with your manager, to work mobile (within Germany) up to an average volume of 60% of the respective working hours.
Even more flexibility? Mobile working from abroad is possible for up to 30 days a year under certain conditions and in selected countries.

Your tasks and responsibilities:
- You own the global travel directive framework, including guardrails, non-negotiables, and directive principles.
- You provide oversight and guidance for local country travel directives and ensure alignment with the global framework.
- You review directive deviations, exception patterns, and directive infractions, including analysis of what is happening, where it occurs, and why.
- You ensure equitable and consistent directive application across regions while balancing business requirements, employee experience, legal requirements, and operational feasibility.
- You create and maintain transparency over the existing global and local travel directive landscape and identify gaps, overlaps, and inconsistencies.
- You drive harmonization of the SHS travel directive framework with Varian as a core part of the role.
- You work with functional owners and Service Providers to ensurethat travel processes and local implementations reflect the intended directive framework, without taking over day-to-day execution responsibilities or technical configuration ownership.
- You coordinate the preparation, implementation, and communication of approved directive changes and support rollout across affected countries.
- You closely partner with Finance, Legal, Procurement, service providers, and other relevant stakeholders to ensure directive alignment, adoption, and effective governance.
- You ensure that directive changes are translated into clear requirements for implementation owners.
Your qualifications and experience:
- You have a bachelor’s degree in Business Management, Travel Management, Finance or other relevant areas
- You have many years of experience in travel directive governance, travel management, HR operations, or a related directive environment in a multinational company.
- You have strong understanding of global and country-specific travel directive structures and how local requirements interact with global governance.
- You have experience in directive development, directive review, and implementation in complex international environments.
- You have experience in analyzing directive deviations, compliance issues, and cross-country governance topics within travel or related operational areas.
- You have strong judgment in handling directive deviations, escalations, and competing priorities.
- You have experience working with cross-functional stakeholders such as HR, Finance, Procurement, Legal, and service providers.
- You have experience with directive harmonization, integration, or transformation projects is an advantage, especially in a deconsolidation or standalone operating model context
- You have excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain directive implications clearly to non-experts.
- You already have extensive, well-founded professional experience and additional qualifications in this field, but no university degree? Then we would also be delighted to receive your application.
