Choose the best place for your work – Within the scope of this position, it is possible, in consultation with your manager, to work mobile (within Germany) up to an average volume of 60% of the respective working hours.
Even more flexibility? Mobile working from abroad is possible for up to 30 days a year under certain conditions and in selected countries.
Your tasks and responsibilities:
- You assume strategic and operational product ownership for the Shui Design System, including vision, target state, roadmap, and prioritization.
- You act as the functional lead and ensure consistency, scalability, and quality of the design system across all digital products.
- You continuously manage and evolve the product backlog based on business, UX, architecture, and development requirements.
- You establish and take ownership of a company‑wide, standardized design and component strategy.
- You build, scale, and govern an AI‑driven product and development approach (agentic AI).
- You are responsible for time‑to‑market, quality, reusability, and long‑term productivity.
- You manage international collaboration, particularly with development teams in India, including occasional on‑site coordination.
- You communicate progress, value, and risks transparently and actively drive adoption and change management.

Your qualifications and experience:
- You hold a university degree in business informatics, computer science, media informatics, UX/interaction design, or a comparable field.
- You have many years of experience as a (Senior) Product Owner with end‑to‑end responsibility, ideally for a design system or a scaling digital platform.
- You bring deep experience in the design domain, preferably in the context of design systems, including governance, scaling, and enterprise‑wide adoption.
- You have a strong understanding of UX, UI, design tokens, and component‑based design and development systems.
- You possess a solid, hands‑on technical understanding of modern frontend development (e.g., web components, Angular/React, design systems, APIs).
- You have proven experience or a strong strategic interest in agentic AI approaches in product and development environments.
- You are familiar with AI‑supported code, test, and documentation generation, as well as the automation of development, QA, and delivery workflows.
- You bring deep experience with agile product and delivery models such as Scrum, Kanban, and continuous delivery.

- You demonstrate strong intercultural competence and very confident written and spoken English communication; German skills are an advantage.
- You think strategically, resolve complex goal conflicts, and connect design, development, and business as an equal partner.
- You make decisions in a structured, data‑ and evidence‑based manner and represent them clearly and confidently.
- You have experience collaborating with internationally distributed, interdisciplinary teams.
- You act with commitment, communicate effectively, and actively foster collaboration, alignment, and acceptance.
- You proactively drive change and support adoption and change management with clarity and empathy.
