Then come and join our global team as Test Engineer (f/m/d) to ensure the long-term high quality of our Siemens Healthineers computed tomography systems through systematic software and system testing.
Choose the best place for your work – Within the scope of this position, it is possible, in consultation with your manager, to work mobile (within Germany) up to an average volume of 60% of the respective working hours.
Even more flexibility? Mobile working from abroad is possible for up to 30 days a year under certain conditions and in selected countries.
Your tasks and responsibilities:
- You create and maintain test specifications based on functional and non‑functional requirements for software and system components of CT (Computed Tomography) systems.
- With the corresponding experience, you implement and execute manual software and system tests, review requirement specifications, and ensure comprehensible documentation of test results.
- You analyze requirements at an early stage and ensure their complete testability through close collaboration with development and product management.
- You perform system tests for a defined product or functional area within Computed Tomography.
- You analyze, document, and track defects in a structured manner and actively contribute to sustainable quality improvement.
- You work as a Test Engineer in interdisciplinary, international, and agile teams and contribute to the continuous improvement of test processes and workflows, including the use of modern technologies such as AI‑supported test tools.

Your qualifications and experience:
- You hold a successfully completed bachelor’s degree in Medical Engineering, Computer Science, Natural Sciences, or a comparable field, and you have several years of professional experience in software testing, system testing, or quality assurance.
- Alternatively, you have a master’s degree with initial relevant professional experience in this area.
- You bring knowledge of test methods, test procedures, and test tools, and are ideally qualified through a certification such as ISTQB Certified Tester.
- Ideally, you have experience and knowledge of structured test approaches such as Keyword‑Driven Testing (KDT), as well as initial exposure to testing AI‑based systems or using AI within the test environment.
- You preferably have experience working in agile development projects and are familiar with software quality requirements in regulated environments, ideally in the medical technology sector.
Your attributes and skills:
- For collaboration with international sites as well as for formulating requirements, test specifications, and defect reports, you have business‑fluent English skills. Good German skills are desirable for working with your local colleagues in Forchheim.
- You work in a structured, analytical, and self‑driven manner and maintain an overview even when dealing with complex system interrelationships.
- You have a strong sense of quality and consistently apply it in your daily testing and analysis work.
