Then come and join our global team as IT System Engineer (f/m/d) Remote Update Support, supporting our customers across EMEA with high-quality, international remote update services for clinical imaging software and ensuring smooth clinical operations.

Choose the best place for your work – Within the scope of this position, it is possible, in consultation with your manager, to work mobile (within Germany) up to an average volume of 60% of the respective working hours.

Even more flexibility? Mobile working from abroad is possible for up to 30 days a year under certain conditions and in selected countries.


This position can be filled in Romania, Poland, Portugal, Germany (Erlangen), or France (Paris).


The position is limited to two years and can be filled on a full-time or part-time basis (minimum 30 hours per week).


Your tasks and responsibilities:

  • You provide international remote IT support for Siemens Healthineers’ clinical imaging software across various departments, ensuring fast and high-quality customer support. Your focus lies on managing software versions across the installed base.
  • You coordinate and organize activities, including software updates and upgrades, together with internal and external partners to ensure uninterrupted clinical operations on the customer side.
  • You act as a technical advisor, supporting the integration of IT systems and the design of interfaces.
  • You share your expertise with new team members, actively contributing to capability building within the team.

Your qualifications and experience:


  • You hold a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Physics, Medicine, or a related field, with a strong affinity for IT.
  • You have initial experience in customer IT support, ideally with imaging systems as well as clinical software and workflows.
  • Additionally, you have experience with virtualized IT systems, scripting, and server hardware.
  • You are experienced in implementing interfaces for third-party applications, preferably in a clinical environment.
  • We also welcome applicants with a completed vocational education and training, combined with additional professional experience in this field. As an IT specialist, you have gained extensive, relevant hands-on experience in IT.


Your attributes and skills:

  • You take a structured approach to solving customer issues, are able to handle multiple support requests in parallel, and set the right priorities — while always maintaining a strong focus on customer satisfaction and solution quality.
  • Your English language skills enable you to support customers across EMEA via direct phone contact, document issues accurately, communicate smoothly with colleagues, and participate confidently in English-language training courses. Experience in intercultural collaboration is an advantage.
  • Thanks to your excellent communication skills, you integrate seamlessly into our international team.
  • We are available for our EMEA customers between 7:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m. Working hours are largely flexible.
