Then come and join our global team as Senior Director of EMEIA-Quality Varian (f/m/d) to ensure the highest quality in Finland, Germany, Hungary, and India – with a focus on R&D in the global VARIAN radiotherapy portfolio.



Your tasks and responsibilities:

  • As Head of Quality, EMEIA, you will provide strategic leadership to multiple global quality teams, developing a high-performing organization, fostering a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and effective cross-functional collaboration
  • You are responsible for developing the quality management strategy for the EMEIA region in alignment with global quality management systems, quality, and corporate goals. You will work with various business areas/line teams to achieve these
  • You handle communication with authorities and are responsible for processes to meet internal and external regulations
  • You are responsible for budget planning for global quality programs and coordinate the budget plan with the organizational unit
  • You analyze and develop local quality data to identify problems or deviations

Your qualifications and experience:

  • You have a degree in engineering, life sciences, regulatory affairs, or a comparable field
  • You have many years of relevant professional experience in quality management in a highly regulated environment, ideally in medical technology, imaging, diagnostics, or similar
  • You also have extensive professional and disciplinary leadership experience in large, geographically distributed teams in a matrix organization, ideally with a focus on quality, R&D, regulatory affairs, and post-market
  • You have solid experience working with authorities and solving complex regulatory issues
  • Ideally, you are familiar with agile, lean, and digital transformation processes in a regulatory environment
  • In-depth knowledge of EU MDR/IVDR, ISO 13485, MDSAP, and relevant national regulations, as well as experience with integrated quality/regulatory management systems and digital tools, complete your profile


Your attributes and skills:

  • You have fluent English skills (and German if you are Kemnath based) as well as excellent communication, problem-solving, and negotiation skills in both languages
  • You are implementation-oriented and ensure the sustainable anchoring of innovative solutions and processes – you are passionate about continuously developing existing processes using digital and AI tools
  • You stand out with decisiveness, transparency, and leadership strength in uncertain or changing regulatory environments
  • Personally, you pursue the overarching goal of creating a world without fear of cancer every day. Therefore, you strive for continuous improvement, quality is close to your heart, and you are happy to implement our high standards together with the team
  • Your profile is rounded off by a strong motivation for continuous process improvement and openness to change
