Global Trade and Tariffs Lead (f/m/d) – 1 year maternity replacement (starting in September 2026)

Join our global team as Global Trade and Tariffs Lead (f/m/d) – 1 year maternity replacement based in Brussels, to take responsibility, for a defined replacement period, for the management, and implementation of the International and EU Trade policy and advocacy with a particular focus on global footprint, and supply chain to ensure the best possible operating environment for the business success of Siemens Healthineers.

Your tasks and responsibilities:
  • You support the company’s management in providing strategic direction on trade and customs matters, actively contributing with your expertise.
  • You support business unit leaders and global functions on trade and supply chain topics – particularly regarding future trade policy developments and their impact on the R&D and supply chain footprint.
  • You help coordinate cross regional global initiatives to reduce trade barriers, with a particular focus on EU import and export processes as well as regional specifics.
  • You help to strengthen global trade policy advocacy – including close collaboration with colleagues in China and India.
  • You participate in working groups focused on resilient communication of EU trade policy issues, considering US, European and Asian developments, and foster knowledge exchange across the organization.
  • You support internal communication on trade policy topics, support the implementation of relevant measures, and ensure the measurement and reporting of resilience activities and risk mitigation strategies.

Your qualifications and experience:
  • You have a university degree in Business Administration, International Trade, , political science, law, or a related field.
  • You are fluent in English and feel comfortable in an international environment.
  • You bring experience in trade policy, preferably in the medical technology sector or a comparable industry.
  • You possess knowledge of global trade policy, customs regulations, and non-tariff trade barriers – including regulatory requirements for products, digital solutions, and services.
  • You have an understanding of supply chain strategies and global production or development networks, and you are willing to deepen your expertise in these areas.
  • You have experience in stakeholder management – particularly in collaboration with business leaders and central functions.
  • You are capable of translating trade policy developments into concrete and actionable measures for the company and its business units.
  • You have experience in a responsible position within a geopolitical context – with a particular focus on trade, supply chain, and global footprint.
