Do you want to help create the future of healthcare? Our name, Siemens Healthineers, was selected to honor our people who dedicate their energy and passion to this cause. It reflects their pioneering spirit combined with our long history of engineering in the ever-evolving healthcare industry.

We offer you a flexible and dynamic environment with opportunities to go beyond your comfort zone in order to grow personally and professionally. Sounds interesting?

Then come and join our global team as Head of Diagnostics Collaboration Office - DCO (f/m/d), to be responsible for end-to-end operational management and execution of all Diagnostics Strategy, Innovation & Execution (DX SIE) collaborations. This role leads the orchestration of cross-functional activities to ensure seamless delivery of collaboration objectives—from project proposal through close-out—while maintaining the highest standards of compliance, efficiency, and strategic alignment.

The DCO serves as the central operational authority for all collaboration types, including thought leadership, business and evidence collaborations, and complex contractual frameworks. This role enables impactful partnerships that support both registrational and non-registrational evidence generation, product development, and lifecycle management across Diagnostics.

Your tasks and responsibilities:

  • End-to-End Collaboration Management: Lead and own all DX SIE collaborations with external partners (e.g. healthcare organizations) across the full lifecycle, ensuring regulatory compliance and delivery of scientifically robust outputs aligned with clinical evidence requirements to support business needs (product development, on-market products).
  • Operational Ownership & Process Excellence: Continuously evolve the collaboration operating model and drive efficient cross-functional execution. Optimize key processes such as study management, contracting, financial tracking, and compliance, with clear escalation pathways.
  • Cross-Functional Alignment: Act as the central operational interface across internal stakeholders and external partners. Align on scope, milestones, deliverables, and manage external agencies where needed.
  • Project & Portfolio Governance: Ensure robust governance across all collaborations, including ownership, budget, intellectual property, performance tracking, driving transparency and accountability.
  • Data & Reporting: Develop and maintain centralized systems for collaboration tracking and reporting, ensuring a single source of truth and enabling data-driven decisions.
  • Strategic Representation: Represent SIE as the operational lead for collaborations, providing leadership with visibility on performance, risks, and opportunities, and advising on strategy.

Your qualifications and experience:

  • You have a university degree in life sciences, public health, engineering, or business/management; advanced degrees (PhD, MPH, MBA or equivalent) preferred.
  • You have many years of experience in diagnostics, life sciences, or healthcare including several years of people management experience.
  • You possess demonstrated leadership in cross-functional program or portfolio management.
  • You have experience with research collaborations, clinical studies, or evidence generation.
  • You have a strong understanding of contracting, compliance, and financial governance in healthcare.

Your attributes and skills:

  • You have excellent communication skills in English language; German is a plus
  • You possess strong leadership and stakeholder management capabilities with proven ability to operate effectively in matrixed organizations
  • You have excellent communication and networking skills with a strong customer centric mindset when engaging external partners
  • You have deep operational expertise with a focus on process optimization, scalability and problem solving
  • You have the ability to manage complex portfolios and drive execution across multiple priorities
  • You have strong organizational and negotiation capabilities.
  • You have a strategic mindset with strong attention to detail
