Then come and join our global team as Algorithm Developer – Medical Imaging (f/m/d).

Choose the best place for your work – Within the scope of this position, it is possible, in consultation with your manager, to work mobile (within Germany) up to an average volume of 60% of the respective working hours.


Your tasks and responsibilities:


  • You will develop image processing algorithms and imaging concepts for 2D real-time imaging for our ARTIS angiography systems ("OPTIQ AI").
  • You will design algorithmic prototypes and develop them as part of an interdisciplinary team—from the initial idea through to market maturity.
  • You will create formal specifications for our 2D real-time algorithms.
  • You will design and create formal documentation (particularly quantitative image quality tests) to support the international regulatory approval of our systems.
  • You will support our clinical team in analyzing and resolving image quality complaints, as well as in optimizing the imaging chain.
  • Working closely with our software developers, you will ensure the implementation ability and real-time capability of your concepts.
  • You will work in an agile, cross-functional, and international development team, collaborating with internal stakeholders from R&D, Innovation, and Customer Service.

Your qualifications and experience:


  • You hold a master’s degree or Diploma in a technical or physical discipline (Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Medical Engineering, Physics, or similar) with several years of relevant professional experience. A PhD in this field would be an advantage.
  • You have several years of experience in developing algorithms for (real-time) image processing.
  • You possess excellent knowledge in the areas of medical imaging technology, X-ray physics, and Machine Learning (including Deep Learning).
  • Your programming skills (Python, ideally C++) enable you to implement algorithms within a prototyping environment.
  • Ideally, you are familiar with the challenges of the interventional medical environment (especially angiography) and have experience in Systems Engineering.
  • Experience in agile development within the medical technology sector and knowledge of our ARTIS product family are considered a plus.

  • You have intercultural experience and possess business‑fluent English skills, enabling you to operate successfully in an international environment; good German skills are an advantage.
  • National and international business travel is a welcome change for you.
  • You have strong communication skills and can interact professionally and purposefully with physicians and team members.
  • You demonstrate strong analytical abilities and can derive concrete solutions from vague or incomplete problem descriptions.
  • You have a structured and goal‑oriented working style, a high level of initiative and assertiveness, and a strong customer focus.
  • You are quick to familiarize yourself with new image processing tools and the challenges of working in a clinical environment.
  • We are passionate about learning – you stay up to date with current trends and potential in medical imaging and continuously challenge the status quo.
