Then come and join our global team as Data Scientist (f/m/d) Image Processing and Analytics, to use cutting-edge AI technologies to advance medical image processing and create innovative solutions for clinical practice.


Choose the best place for your work – Within the scope of this position, it is possible, in consultation with your manager, to work mobile (within Germany) up to an average volume of 60% of the respective working hours.

Even more flexibility? Mobile working from abroad is possible for up to 30 days a year under certain conditions and in selected countries.


Your tasks and responsibilities:

  • As a member of our international research and development department, you will significantly contribute to the advancement and innovation of our digital X-ray products and clinical software solutions. Together with your colleagues, you will develop AI-based methods for processing and analyzing images in a medical context.
  • Your responsibilities also include implementing the novel algorithms you design into functional prototypes and validating them together with our clinical experts and cooperation partners.
  • You will link your role in clinical collaborations with the continuous expansion of our data resources.
  • You will work in an interdisciplinary team, and active scientific collaboration with internal and external research partners is a core part of your role.
  • You will supervise students or doctoral candidates and contribute your own work to international scientific conferences.
  • You will expand our patent portfolio through your own inventions.

Your qualifications and experience:

  • You hold a Master / diploma degree in computer science, physics, or a related technical field; PhD is highly preferred.
  • You have several years of relevant professional experience as an algorithm developer, AI engineer, or data scientist.
  • You possess solid technical expertise in medical image processing, ideally in X-ray-based 2D/3D imaging.
  • You are proficient in data science tools and programming languages such as Python, C++, etc. Ideally, you also have experience with CUDA.
  • You are well-versed in scientific working methods and have already demonstrated knowledge transfer in an industrial setting.


Your attributes and skills:

  • You have excellent written and verbal communication skills in English; additional German language skills are a plus.
  • You understand complex problems and are able to develop solutions and concepts for them.
  • Your strong team spirit, persuasiveness, and independent, pragmatic, and results-oriented working style set you apart.
  • As an internationally operating organization, we expect strong collaboration skills in interdisciplinary and intercultural teams.
