Then come and join our global HR team as Global Mobility Tax Expert (f/m/d) to co-create the future of tax compliance of our cross-border mobile workforce. We are looking for a robust understanding of international tax regulations, mobile workforce tax challenges with experience in our major markets (especially Germany). The role will be responsible for managing the tax implications of our global mobility programs, ensuring compliance with local and international tax laws to support our international mobile workforce as well as supporting our business and HR on those topics.
Choose the best place for your work – Within the scope of this position, it is possible, in consultation with your manager, to work mobile (within Germany) up to an average volume of 60% of the respective working hours.
Even more flexibility? Mobile working from abroad is possible for up to 30 days a year under certain conditions and in selected countries.
Your tasks and responsibilities:
- You will be the functional lead for cross-border tax compliance implementation incl. tax aspects of all cross-border travel activities like international business travel, international assignments, international transfers and international mobile work.
- You will oversee and steer all tax-related aspects of our global mobility programs with our internal and external service providers incl. process transparency, monitoring and regular reporting
- You will provide expert advice on tax implications for international assignments and on complex cross-border travel cases (i.e. projects and non-project business travel), including tax equalization, gross-up calculations and if needed, also on social security considerations
- You will be responsible for developing training and communication material and conduct training sessions for HR, business leaders and employees
- You will contribute and implement strategies and solutions to enhance customer satisfaction and stakeholder enhancement with focus on digitalization & process improvements
- You will be working collaboratively with the tax governance function and business stakeholders to implement standards, processes and systems for tax compliance
- You will be responsible to analyze global trends, best practices and regulatory development to ensure optimized compliance and advisory strategies
- You will be collaborating with the HR Mobility Team, service providers, Payroll, Tax and HR stakeholders to drive alignment and seamless integration of taxation, social security and shadow payroll processes

Your qualifications and experience:
- You have a university degree in taxation, finance, accounting, business administration or a related field. Relevant certifications (e.g., CPA, CPP) or a MBA with a focus on international taxation are desirable
- You have many years of professional experience in taxation in global mobility tax, tax compliance for international assignments, and experience in tax laws in relevant markets (i.e. Germany, United States)
- You possess strong knowledge of international tax laws, regulations, and compliance requirements
- You have excellent analytical skills with attention to detail and ability to work independently.
- You have the ability to interpret and apply multi- and bilateral tax and social security agreements in complex scenarios

- You have excellent organizational and time management skills
