Join Siemens Healthineers for a 30-month apprenticeship designed to transform you into a highly skilled IT Specialist. You will learn to deliver cutting-edge informatics support, ensuring our customers maximize the potential of our Point of Care (POC) Diagnostic solutions.

During this program you will be trained to manage complex IT projects, support innovative product rollouts and ensure seamless digital integration for medical facilities across Italy.

Your role:

  • IT Project & Service Management: execute operational informatics support and project management for the Point of Care (POC) portfolio.
  • Technical Support & System Rollouts: support in the entire lifecycle management of POC solutions, from initial installation and hardware/software upgrades to traditional field service interventions.
  • Customer Education & Training: support in technical training sessions for healthcare professionals to maximize system throughput and ensure effective clinical use of reagents.
  • Pre-Sales Strategic Partnership: collaborate with Sales teams to design cost-effective, best-in-class IT solutions that ensure seamless implementation and high performance.
  • Innovation & Process Efficiency: drive continuous improvement by implementing creative digital solutions, such as remote updates and customer self-service, to optimize delivery times.

Your expertise:

  • Education: Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a Diploma from a Technical Informatics Institute.
  • Languages: Full professional proficiency in both Italian and English (essential for technical documentation and international collaboration).
  • Networking Fundamentals: client-server and request/response architectures connection establishment (handshake, session management), understanding of communication protocols, preferably including those used in the medical field (e.g. TCP/IP, HTTPS, HL7, ASTM).
  • Data management: Knowledge of relational databases, with reference to Microsoft SQL Server, including writing and executing SQL queries (SELECT, INSERT, UPDATE, DELETE) use and development of stored procedures and functions understanding of data structure and modelling
  • Operating systems: good knowledge of Microsoft operating systems is required, with particular reference to Windows Server environments and their core functionalities. Familiarity with system administration concepts, including user and permission management, as well as key server features used to support infrastructure services, application hosting, and networked environments
  • Mobility: high flexibility and willingness to travel within the assigned territory and across Italy to support our customers on-site.
  • Mindset: a proactive learner with a passion for healthcare technology and a "customer-first" approach to problem-solving.

Contractual Requirement: must be under 29 years old to be eligible for a professional apprenticeship contract (Contratto di Apprendistato).
