As an AI Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing cutting-edge artificial intelligence solutions using off the shelf LLM (Large Language Models), Anthropic, Azure, and OpenAI technologies. As an AI Engineer you will maximize the value addition of the digital platform utilized within the SHS R&D Teams.

Job Purpose:

We are seeking a skilled and experienced AI Engineer with 3-4 years of industry experience to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in generative AI and experience working with LLM (Large Language Models) in particular. As a AI Engineer, you will be responsible for designing and implementing state-of-the-art generative models, as well as working collaboratively with our team to drive innovation and develop new solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Leverage on AI techniques by aligning knowledge models with RAG pipelines and agent AI workflows and orchestration

• LLM Developer/Engineer, your primary responsibility is to design, develop, and optimize large language models, LLM-based applications, NLP systems, frameworks, and tools for both front-end and back-end development.

• Prototypes and do proof of concepts (PoC) in one or all the following areas: LLM, NLP, DL (Deep Learning), ML (Machine Learning), object detection / classification, tracking, etc.

• Language Model Development: Utilize off-the-shelf LLM services, such as Claude, Azure OpenAI, to integrate LLM capabilities into applications, and collaborate with the research team to design and develop state-of-the-art language models.

• Work closely with data scientists, software engineers, and business stakeholders to understand their data requirements and provide tailored solutions, align data architecture with Gen AI capabilities.

• Research and Innovation: Stay up to date with the latest advancements in the field of NLP, LLM and machine learning and proactively identify opportunities to leverage new technologies for improved solutions.

Experience

• Experience working with and fine-tuning Large Language Models (LLMs), design, and optimizing LLM, natural language processing (NLP)systems, frameworks, and tools.

• Experience building scalable applications with LLMs, using frameworks such as LangChain, LlamaIndex, etc.

• Experience in creating and deploying code libraries using functions and classes in Python in AI product-focused development.

• Comfortable working in the cloud and high-performance computing environments (e.g.,AWS/Azure/ GCP, Databricks, Apache Spark).

• Experience with Code LLM [ eg “StarCoder”,“Tabnine”,”CodeT5”) for code generation.

Required Knowledge/Skills, Education, and Experience

• BS/MS in Information Technology, Business Informatics, Computer Science, artificial intelligence, or a related field, or a specialization in natural language processing is preferred.

• 3-4 years of experience in generative AI, particularly with LLMs

• Senior experience with Gen AI concepts including retrieval-augmented generation and agent-based AI.

• Strong programming skills in languages such as Python or Java

• Experience with deep learning frameworks (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch) is highly desirable.

• Good working project experience in cloud computing i.e., AWS/ Azure/GCP cloud Services including VPCs, EBS, ALBs, NLBs, EC2, S3, and so on so forth.

• Proficiency in working with UNIX/Linux environments and command-line tools.
