Compensation Specialist - Northern Europe
Location: Poland, Portugal, Hungary
Position Overview
As Compensation Specialist – Northern Europe, you will be a key member of the EMEA Total Rewards team, responsible for managing and driving all compensation-related topics across the Northern Europe countries. You will act as a trusted partner to local HR and local management while ensuring alignment with global compensation frameworks, regional strategy, and local regulatory requirements.
In this pivotal role, you will collaborate closely with local HR teams, as well as the regional and global compensation teams. You will lead and coordinate compensation initiatives, drive operational efficiency and contribute to regional compensation projects in the EMEA region.
Your Tasks and Responsibilities
- Be a trusted partner, working proactively and collaboratively with HR Country Heads, the country leadership as well as the regional and global Total Rewards team
- Review and continuously refine country-specific compensation strategies for the countries in Northern Europe, ensuring competitiveness, internal equity and alignment with global guidelines and local legislation
- Manage year-end compensation processes e.g. merit, short-term and long-term incentives incl. local guidance ensuring fairness and consistency
- Act as main point of contact and advisor to local HR for all compensation-related topics i.e. benchmarking, job level evaluations, new hire offer reviews as well as providing guidance for promotions and off-cycle adjustments
- Implement global policies and programs, define and adopt Total Rewards guidelines and processes for your countries of responsibility
- Provide in-depth and ad hoc analytical support/guidance to Business Partners and Leaders incl. preparing management reports and insights
- Lead or support compensation initiatives relating to M&A activity
- Contribute as a key team member to regional Total Rewards projects
- Manage stakeholders effectively
Your Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor´s degree in human resources, Business Administration, or a related field preferred; Master´s degree preferred
- An additional HR qualification (e.g., World at Work GRP) is a plus
- Pprofessional experience in compensation, ideally within large matrix organization or consultancy environment
- Strong analytical and data-driven mindset with advanced excel skills
- Strong problem-solving abilities and project management skills
- Proactive stakeholder management and consultation abilities
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Growth mindset and ability to navigate ambiguity and a fast-paced environment
- Experience working collaboratively in a multicultural environment
- Ability to work remotely and travel occasionally
- Fluency in English is required (additional languages are a plus)
