To strengthen and support our team responsible for the EU Government Affairs and Policy Team based in Brussels, we are looking for an EU Government Affairs and Policy manager. 


 

What we are looking for :

  • A Government Affairs manager to support on legislative and regulatory initiatives.
  • Your objective is to identify regulatory and policy opportunities and threats for Siemens Healthineers´ businesses.
  • While you will be able to work on a rather broad variety of topics, there will be a focus on funding, innovation and life science, e.g. EU MFF, EU structural funds, and life science strategy. 
  • You will also support the work of the team on clinical conditions. 
  • Being a member of the Government Affairs team for EMEA, you will work closely with different business lines and corporate department.
  • Together with your team members in Brussels and Berlin, you will support our advocacy and outreach activities through active involvement in business associations and through direct contacts with political stakeholders.

 

Your responsibilities: 

  • Identify and monitor relevant legislation, policy initiatives, and funding opportunities and assess their implications for Siemens Healthineers´ businesses.
  • Coordinate and develop policy positions in cooperation with internal experts Contribute to regular policy briefings.
  • Develop and lead advocacy strategies on assigned topics.
  • Represent Siemens Healthineers actively and effectively in association working groups and meetings.

  • Participate in strategic representation activities and liaise with external stakeholders.
  • Organize and attend events, panel discussions or information sessions on behalf of Siemens Healthineers.
  • Build up and sustain a network of stakeholders in relevant political institutions and the related stakeholder environment.

 

 Your qualifications and experience:

  • You have an excellent university degree in political sciences, law and/or in a related field of expertise.
  • You have at least 5 years of experience in Government Affairs or equivalent environment (e.g., in political institutions, in industry associations or in a Government Affairs unit of a company, in a public affairs consultancy or a similar role) ideally related to policy issues that are relevant for Siemens’s businesses.
  • Following attributes describe you: good understanding of EU and ideally national regulations and politics, passion for politics, excellent written and oral communication skills, keen interest in technologies, familiar with major Siemens relevant businesses.
  • The chosen candidate is a natural team player, has strong advocacy skills and navigates complex organizational environments with ease.
  • Fluent English skills a must, German desirable, any other EU language is a plus.
