Your tasks and responsibilities:

  • You own the business governance of the SHS travel technology landscape and related application ecosystem, with a focus on expense processes, business controls, and user-facing business enablement.
  • You act as the primary business interface between SHS business/functions and the Service Provider(s), and future providers as needed.
  • You own change requests, approve business changes and releases, and ensure proper business testing and validation for expense-related and governance-relevant changes.

  • You ensure alignment of expense principles, reimbursement controls, and business rules with Finance, Controlling, and Accounting.
  • You own compliance topics related to the application landscape, including alignment with SHS compliance requirements and directive.
  • You own budget responsibility and verify charges from Service Providers or other vendors.
  • You mandate, monitor, and steer service providers through performance, KPI tracking, user satisfaction, and continuous improvement.
  • You ensure that the application setup and ecosystem support the broader Travel Management governance framework and directive landscape.
  • You coordinate with HR, Finance, Procurement, IT, Service Providers, and travel stakeholders to ensure coherent governance across the travel ecosystem.

Your qualifications and experience:

  • You have a bachelor’s degree in business management, travel management, finance or other relevant areas
  • You have many years of experience in travel expense management, travel enablement, business application ownership, or a related governance role in a multinational environment.
  • You have experience in expense governance, business controls, and directive-to-process translation
  • You have a strong understanding of business-owned applications and how governance, service management, and execution interact in a shared-service model.
  • You have experience in change governance, release approval, testing coordination, and service oversight.
  • You have experience in budget control, charge verification, and provider steering.
  • You have a strong understanding of compliance requirements in a travel application context.
  • You have experience working across business functions, HR, Finance, Procurement, IT, and service provider structures.
  • Experience with travel expense platforms or similar ecosystem tools is a strong advantage.
  • You already have extensive, well-founded professional experience and additional qualifications in this field, but no university degree? Then we would also be delighted to receive your application.

  • You have a strong governance mindset with clear ownership and accountability.
  • You have a high level of stakeholder management and influencing skills.
  • You have strong analytical and conceptual thinking.
  • You have the ability to translate business needs into priorities, governance decisions, and roadmap directions.
  • You have strong communication skills and confidence working across business and provider interfaces.
  • You are structured, detail-oriented, and have a solution-focused working style.
  • You have the ability to balance compliance, user needs, service quality, and cost awareness.
  • You possess a pragmatic, collaborative mindset with a strong sense for cross-functional alignment.
  • You have the integrity and reliability in handling business-critical application topics.
