Choose the best place for your work – Within the scope of this position, it is possible, in

consultation with your manager, to work mobile (within Germany) up to an average volume of 60% of the respective working hours.


Even more flexibility? Mobile working from abroad is possible for up to 30 days a year under certain conditions and in selected countries.



Your tasks and responsibilities:

  • You independently lead cross-functional programs, strategic initiatives, multi-stakeholder partnering activities, and incubation projects within our global matrix organization aligned with our Elevating strategy.
  • You shape strategic decision-making by assessing market trends, emerging technologies, healthcare ecosystems, competitive developments, and evolving business models, deriving actionable recommendations for executive leadership.
  • You act as a trusted advisor to business lines and horizontals, providing strategic, subject-matter, and methodological guidance to translate innovation and strategic priorities into tangible business outcomes.
  • You identify, evaluate, incubate, and drive strategic growth opportunities across partnerships, investments, and new business models, from early concept through implementation.
  • You build and manage relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including business leaders, healthcare providers, startups, academic institutions, and industry partners to identify and accelerate strategic opportunities.
  • You create compelling executive narratives, strategic proposals, and decision materials, engaging with senior leadership and executive management.

Your qualifications and experience:

  • Advanced degree in medicine, life sciences, pharmacy, (bio)engineering, or a related field (MD, PhD, PharmD, MSc preferred).
  • Extensive experience (10+ years) in clinically focused and business-oriented roles within MedTech, pharma, biotech, or related healthcare industries; additional experience in strategy consulting, corporate strategy, innovation management, business development, or venture activities is an advantage.
  • Successfully led complex cross-functional initiatives and influenced senior leaders, subject-matter experts, and external partners without direct authority.
  • Strong understanding of healthcare industry dynamics, innovation ecosystems, and strategic growth levers, including partnerships, investments, M&A, and business model innovation.
  • Proven track record as a trusted advisor and coach, facilitating strategic discussions, challenging assumptions, building alignment, and driving decisions across organizational boundaries.


Your attributes and skills:

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with effective engagement of healthcare professionals, key opinion leaders, and executive stakeholders; fluent in English, German is a plus.
  • Ability to synthesize complex scientific information into clear big-picture and strategic insights.
  • Strong scientific and medical knowledge with the ability to critically analyze and interpret clinical data.
  • Ability to balance strategic and analytic thinking with pragmatism and execution in ambiguous environments.
  • Highly motivated, outcome-oriented mindset with a focus on innovation, continuous improvement, and growth opportunities.
  • Proven ability to work in complex, global matrix organizations and manage cross-functional stakeholders without direct authority.
  • Structured, detail-oriented working style with a strong focus on quality and business impact.
