Choose the best place for your work – Within the scope of this position, it is possible, in consultation with your manager, to work mobile (within Germany) up to an average volume of 60% of the respective working hours.
Even more flexibility? Mobile working from abroad is possible for up to 30 days a year under certain conditions and in selected countries.
Your tasks and responsibilities:
- You will be responsible for curating large volumes of structured and unstructured data.
- You will perform data cleansing, visualization, modeling and interact with various stakeholders within AT (Advanced Therapies).
- You will be responsible to create AI based solutions and services to support R&D product development.
- You will be responsible to create data storage, processing and lineage strategies for Machine Data & Clinical data of AT products.

Your qualifications and experience:
- You have completed a Master’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Data Engineering, Information Systems or a comparable field.
- You have several years of professional experience with data technologies such as Databricks, Snowflake, Hadoop, Spark, MongoDB, Pandas or Hive.
- You have experience with at least one cloud platform (AWS, Azure or Google Cloud).
- You possess strong programming skills in Python and solid SQL expertise.
- You have hands‑on experience in building machine learning and deep learning models including LLM’s for NLP, CV, Predictive analytics.
- You have the ability to deploy and support Generative AI models and monitor them.
- You have experience or initial exposure to MLOps; knowledge of MLflow is a plus.
- Experience with vector databases, RAG architectures and knowledge graphs is an advantage.
- You are able to drive complex projects from concept to productive output.
- We also welcome applicants holding a PhD degree. Alternatively, you bring a Bachelor’s degree combined with additional relevant professional experience in this field.

- You have the ability to collaborate effectively in a global, multicultural environment with international R&D, IT and business stakeholders across regions and time zones.
- You have strong problem solving and critical thinking skills, with the ability to analyze complex data landscapes, identify patterns, and translate insights into robust AI driven solutions.
- You have strong communication skills in English, with the ability to explain complex data and AI topics to both technical and non‑technical audiences; German language skills are a plus.
