Product Manager Data Platform (f/m/d)

Then come and join our global team as Product Manager Data Platform (f/m/d) to design and manage the further development of our digital data platform so our strategic goals are linked to measurable business impact.
Choose the best place for your work – Within the scope of this position, it is possible, in consultation with your manager, to work mobile (within Germany) up to an average volume of 60% of the respective working hours.
Even more flexibility? Mobile working from abroad is possible for up to 30 days a year under certain conditions and in selected countries.
This position is full-time or part-time with a minimum of 28h/week.
Your tasks and responsibilities:
- You drive the definition of concepts and development of capabilities of our digital data platform to achieve strategic as well as business goals.
- You are accountable for value proposition development based on stakeholder insights, including financial, technical, and regulatory validation.
- You follow “Privacy and Data Protection by Design” principles to ensure highest standards and compliance with international regulations on data and AI.
- You are responsible for communication and requirements elicitation with internal and external stakeholders.
- You own and maintain a product capability roadmap in alignment with users and stakeholders.

Your qualifications and experience:
- You hold a university degree in a technical, data-driven, or healthcare-related field (e.g. Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, (Biomedical) Engineering, Medical/Health Technology) or a comparable field.
- You have extensive experience in software engineering, with a strong focus on data platforms and AI systems.
- You have deep expertise in Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) for software products, bridging technical architecture and product strategy.
- You have a strong grasp of AI-driven design principles and securely pipelining clinical data (e.g., DICOM, HL7, FHIR) into MLOps/LLMOps environments.
- You have hands-on experience navigating medical data privacy and healthcare compliance standards (e.g., HIPAA, GDPR, MDR) within product lifecycles.
- You have a proven track record of collaborating across international, multidisciplinary teams, including clinical partners and hospital IT.
- You are an expert in agile methodologies and modern operational practices, including DevOps, DataOps, and FinOps.
- You have experience with AI-first development processes or a strong ambition to actively drive them forward. In doing so, you use AI naturally and purposefully throughout the entire software development and deployment lifecycle.

- You communicate confidently and persuasively in English in an international environment; additional German skills are a plus.
- You see yourself as a true team player with a positive “can-do” mentality. At the same time, you bring strategic thinking and a strong hands-on approach, and you know how to successfully drive topics forward in a matrix organization.
- You stand out through openness and creativity and have the ability to proactively and purposefully advance topics.
- With your leadership expertise, you coach and develop your team sustainably and strengthen the individual growth of your employees.
- You are willing to undertake occasional international business travel (approx. 10%).
