Then come and join our global team as Cross-border Mobility Cost Allocation Lead (f/m/d)for designing, governing, and executing the global processes that allocate, track, and reconcile mobilityrelated costs across countries, business units, and payrolls. This role ensures that all mobility-related costs - such as tax, social security, relocation, allowances, payroll items and vendor changes - are accurately allocated, tracked, reconciled and reported across countries, business units, and payrolls.


Choose the best place for your work – Within the scope of this position, it is possible, in consultation with your manager, to work mobile (within Germany) up to an average volume of 60% of the respective working hours.


Even more flexibility? Mobile working from abroad is possible for up to 30 days a year under certain conditions and in selected countries.


This position can either be located in Germany, Portugal, Hungary or India.


Your tasks and responsibilities:

Cost Allocation Ownership & Process Leadership

  • Lead the end‑to‑end process for assigning, tracking, and reconciling cross‑border mobility costs, including tax, payroll, benefits, and assignment‑related expenses.
  • Build and maintain standardized global procedures, controls, and documentation to ensure accuracy, transparency, and audit readiness.
  • Partner with Finance, Accounting, Payroll, HR, and external vendors to ensure timely and accurate cost flows across entities and systems.
  • Drive the insourcing of cost allocation processes including transition planning, knowledge transfer, and operational readiness.

Governance, Risk Assessment & Compliance/Reporting

  • Serve as the organization’s expert on risk assessment for complex mobility and cross‑border working scenarios.
  • Monitor regulatory changes and emerging trends to proactively adjust processes and mitigate risk.
  • ensure alignment with corporate accounting policies, IFRS requirements and internal audit standards
  • maintains dashboards and reporting tools to provide visibility in to mobility spend, variances and cost drivers

Stakeholder Partnership & Advisory Support

  • Act as the primary point of contact for business units seeking support on mobility cost allocation, cross‑border work, and related financial impacts.
  • Translate complex technical requirements into actionable guidance for HR partners, managers, and employees.
  • Collaborate with Finance and HR leadership to ensure cost allocation outcomes support budgeting, forecasting, and strategic workforce planning.

Future Operating Model & Team Development

  • Contribute to the design of the future mobility cost allocation team, including roles, responsibilities, and organizational placement (HR vs. Accounting/Finance vs. Procurement).
  • Support the build‑out of team capabilities, training, and process ownership as the function matures.
  • Identify opportunities for automation, system enhancements, and process optimization to improve efficiency and accuracy

Your qualifications and experience:

  • Completed degree in Business Administration 
  • Many years of relevant professional experience in global mobility, international payroll, finance, accounting, or international tax.
  • Strong understanding of international assignment accounting, shadow payroll, tax equalization and intercompany recharges
  • Knowledge of SAP modules - Project Services, HR, Finance, and Controlling
  • Deep understanding of cross‑border employment, cost allocation methodologies, and compliance frameworks.
  • Proven ability to assess risk and provide practical, business‑oriented solutions.
  • Experience leading complex, multi‑country processes and collaborating across functions

  • Strong financial acumen and risk awareness
  • Skilled at cross-functional collaboration (HR, Tax, Payroll, Finance)
  • Able to build global standards while managing local complexities
