Apply now for the Research and Collaboration Scientist position and play a key role in managing & executing clinical and research partnerships between Siemens Healthineers and key healthcare institutions in Singapore. This role acts as the scientific bridge between customer sites, internal R&D, and global collaboration teams, enabling co-innovation, clinical validation, and development of advanced applications.


Your Role:


Research & Innovation (Diagnostic Imaging & Therapy)

  • You will design and execute research projects in imaging, AI, physics, and scientific applications.
  • You will develop and support co-creation and validation of e.g. new prototypes, acquisition techniques, reconstruction algorithms, AI models, and workflows.
  • You will work on early-stage technologies, prototypes, and pre-development concepts.
  • You will enable translation and implementation of innovations across installed base.
  • You will contribute to publications, presentations, and grant applications.


Scientific Liaison & Ecosystem Development

  • You will act as the interface between customer site and Siemens HQ (R&D / predevelopment teams).
  • You will act as internal liaison between technical pre-development & Siemens Sales, marketing, applications & customer service teams.
  • You will provide research / academic consultancy on topics related to physics / scientific topics & translation of clinical needs into technical requirements.
  • You will support integration of new technologies, prototypes, and works-in-progress hardware and software into clinical workflows.


Training, Mentorship & Knowledge Transfer

  • You will provide training to customers - clinicians, scientists, and technical users, on advanced tools & platforms.
  • You will conduct scientific talks, workshops, seminars, and technical sessions.
  • You will mentor students, researchers, and clinical staff on scientific projects undertaken together with hospitals and universities.


Data, Study & Compliance Support

  • You will assist in study design, IRB submissions, and protocol development.
  • You will enable access to and responsible use of imaging data for research.
  • You will work with Legal, Commercial & Compliance teams to draft and execute Research Collaboration Agreements with key institutions.
  • You will manage the collaboration process, including approvals, deliverables, project implementation, completion of data collection, storage, publication, presentation and final closure.


Your Expertise:

  • You hold a PhD or Master’s degree in Medical Physics, Biomedical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
  • You have scientific rigor and analytical thinking with strong programming skills (Python, MATLAB, C++ etc.).
  • You have at least 3-5 years of post-doc research experience in diagnostic imaging, image processing, machine learning or a related field, with relevant publications listed.
  • Your experience in MR sequence programming, coil development, ultra-high field MR, Nuclear Medicine or Photon Counting CT is preferred.
  • You are able to work across multi-disciplinary teams in research, clinical & commercial fields.
