About the role:

We are looking for an Indirect Material Commodity Manager / New Facility Project Procurement Manager to play a pivotal role in the procurement strategy for our new state‑of‑the‑art facility in Bicester. This is a high‑impact position with a strong emphasis on Capex procurement, guiding key investment decisions that will shape the delivery and success of the new site.
You will manage a broad portfolio of globally sourced components and lead the development and implementation of long‑term commodity strategies across a significant purchasing volume. Working closely with global and local partners, you will influence early project decisions, drive competitive advantage and ensure the organisation secures best‑value outcomes.

What you'll be doing:

  • Leading Capex procurement for the new Bicester facility, including major equipment, tooling, infrastructure packages and installation services.
  • Managing a diverse international supply base across indirect commodities and ensuring full transparency over your Purchase Volume (PVO).
  • Developing and implementing commodity and pooling strategies based on market, demand and supplier insights.
  • Defining negotiation strategies that deliver meaningful savings without compromising long‑term supplier relationships.
  • Collaborating with cross‑functional, global teams to achieve optimum commercial outcomes and support project delivery.Acting as an early commercial influencer in project discussions, providing procurement guidance to engineering, operations and planning stakeholders.
  • Proactively identifying and mitigating procurement risks across the portfolio.
  • Supporting procurement transformation programmes and championing digital tools that enhance efficiency and transparency.
  • Travelling internationally as required (typically 10–15%).

What skills and experience you'll bring:

  • Previous experience in a procurement role with responsibility for sourcing, negotiating with and selecting preferred suppliers.  Previous experience of Capex and industrial indirect related procurement is highly advantageous.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret commodity drivers and market dynamics.
  • Experience solving complex problems using a structured and logical mindset.
  • Excellent communication skills with the confidence to build trusted relationships at all levels.
  • Highly skilled negotiator with the ability to balance cost, value and long‑term partnership.
  • A global outlook, with the ability to work effectively across teams, cultures and business functions.
  • Proactive, strategic and collaborative approach, with the drive to influence positive change.
  • Strong digital competence and experience using e‑Procurement tools.
