Then come and join our global team as Global Commodity Manager Travel Management (f/m/d) to to strategically advance our global travel management landscape, successfully steer international partners and processes, and drive the transformation toward a modern, digital, and high-performing travel ecosystem.
Choose the best place for your work – Within the scope of this position, it is possible, in consultation with your manager, to work mobile (within Germany) up to an average volume of 60% of the respective working hours.
Even more flexibility? Mobile working from abroad is possible for up to 30 days a year under certain conditions and in selected countries.
Your tasks and responsibilities:
- You develop, implement, and continuously optimize strategic standards and governance models for travel booking while ensuring regional and cross-functional alignment.
- You shape and drive the further development of the global travel management landscape, advancing the standardization, digitalization, and automation of processes, tools, and interfaces.
- You play a key role in implementing a dedicated SAP Concur tenant as part of the transformation toward a global standalone solution and coordinate collaboration across cross-functional teams.
- You analyze, manage, and optimize end-to-end travel booking processes, from policy design and booking through service delivery and reporting, to sustainably improve efficiency, quality, and user experience.
- You are responsible for the strategic management of external travel service providers and platform partners, ensuring a high-performing, service-oriented, and cost-effective partnership environment.
- You define and establish KPI-based steering and reporting frameworks, creating transparency around compliance, process quality, and cost structures while enabling data-driven decision-making.
- You collaborate closely with international stakeholders as well as Finance, HR, IT, and other business functions to align priorities, successfully implement change, and deliver sustainable results.

Your qualifications and experience:
- You hold a university degree, preferably in Business Administration, Procurement, Business Management, Hospitality Management, or a comparable field of study.
- You bring many years of professional experience in travel management, strategic procurement, or within international travel service providers and have successfully advanced complex travel and service landscapes.
- You possess a strong understanding of end-to-end business travel processes as well as the operational and strategic management of travel management companies, booking platforms, and related service providers.
- You have proven experience in defining, analyzing, and leveraging KPIs, data models, and reporting solutions to manage processes, supplier relationships, and performance.
- You have successfully led and implemented transformation, digitalization, or implementation projects in an international environment.
- You bring extensive experience working with interdisciplinary teams and international stakeholders across different management levels.
