Then come and join our global team as Team Lead Supplier Quality Varian (f/m/d) to drive supplier performance through strategic assessments, data-driven oversight, and strong collaboration across global, cross-functional teams including Procurement, Engineering, Operations, Compliance, and Manufacturing.


This position is full-time or part-time with a minimum of 30h/week.

Your tasks and responsibilities:

  • You lead the full supplier approval lifecycle, including initial capability assessments, on-site audits, process reviews, and quality system evaluations and improvements
  • As part of the Global Supplier Quality function, you participate in projects and improvement activities to ensure the selection of suppliers for new products and supplier consolidation efforts, which meet the highest quality standards and strategic initiatives
  • Together with your team you collaborate with Engineering to ensure that supplier-produced parts meet all technical specifications, including functional testing and dimensional requirements
  • You maintain the complete and accurate record of audits, quality agreements, certifications, supplier and performance metrics
  • You identify opportunities for supplier process optimization, yield improvement, scrap reduction, and cycle-time reduction. Therefore, you facilitate Lean Six Sigma and APQP program initiatives both internally and with suppliers

Your qualifications and experience:

  • You hold a degree in Engineering, Quality Management, Industrial Technology, Supply Chain, or related technical discipline, master’s preferred
  • You have many years of working experience in Supplier Quality, Manufacturing Quality, or Quality Engineering with some years of leadership experience
  • Furthermore, you have a strong understanding of key quality tools and methodologies, including APQP, PPAP, FMEA, MSA, SPC, 8D, Root Cause Analysis, FDA/ISO/IATF standards
  • You demonstrated success in leading supplier audits and effectively managing multiple global suppliers
  • Ideally, you have gained professional certifications (e.g. one or more of CQE, CQA, Six Sigma Green/Black Belt, Lead Auditor)


Your attributes and skills:

  • You have strong English and German skills. In both languages you have strong communication, negotiation, and leadership skills
  • You are characterized by excellent analytical skills, proficient in data analysis, dashboard creation, and reporting
  • The ability to travel domestically and internationally (10–30% depending on supplier footprint) is no problem for you
  • Your profile is rounded off by strong motivation, a demonstrated commitment to continuous process improvement, and openness to change
