Then come and join our global team as Digital Twin Architect (f/m/d), to shape and implement a digital twin architecture that enables efficiency and growth across our global business.

Choose the best place for your work – Within the scope of this position, it is possible, in consultation with your manager, to work mobile (within Germany) up to an average volume of 60% of the respective working hours.

Even more flexibility? Mobile working from abroad is possible for up to 30 days a year under certain conditions and in selected countries.

This position is full-time or part-time with a minimum of 32h/week.


Your tasks and responsibilities:

  • System Design & Architecture: You develop the conceptual and technical framework for a digital twin, including structure, components, and end-to-end data flow.
  • Technology Selection: You evaluate and select suitable technologies and platforms for building and operating the digital twin, ensuring alignment with service organization needs
  • Integration: You oversee the integration of systems, data sources and functionalities into a cohesive digital twin environment.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration: You act as a liaison between technical teams, business units, and management, translating business strategies into technical requirements and communication the potential and progress of the digital twin.
  • Feasibility & Strategy: You assess technical and financial feasibility of digital twin initiatives and connect them to the broader company strategy, ensuring alignment with business goals (e.g. efficiency, revenue growth).
  • Lifecycle Management: You guide the development and ongoing management of the digital twin from an architectural point of view. Ensure its accuracy and relevance throughout the entire lifecycle and drive adaption of the architecture when necessary.

Your qualifications and experience:

  • You hold a completed university degree in machine engineering, systems engineering, IT or a comparable field.
  • You have many years of experience in digitalization, IT architecture, data management, simulation, and machine learning.
  • You are experienced in managing complex projects from concept to operation, ensuring resources, timelines, and budgets are met.
  • Ideally, you have hands-on experience in the introduction of digital twinning and the respective architecture for example for machinery or in the Industry 4.0 context.
  • You have experience collaborating with stakeholders, identifying their needs and matching them with the technical possibilities of digital twins.
  • You bring profound expertise in semantic and ontology modeling on cross-enterprise level, including agentic AI, agent networks, graph technologies, data contextualization, IoT, and stream data processing.
  • You demonstrate strategic thinking and understand how digital twins deliver value within the overall company strategy.

  • You enjoy initiating and driving change, motivating teams toward shared goals.
  • You have a convincing presence, excellent communication and presentation skills, and experience working with executives and global teams.
