Then come and join our global team as Innovation Project Lead Surgery Planning (f/m/d) to drive our innovations in the field of surgery for the benefit of our customers and their patients.

Choose the best place for your work – Within the scope of this position, it is possible, in consultation with your manager, to work mobile (within Germany) up to an average volume of 60% of the respective working hours.

Even more flexibility? Mobile working from abroad is possible for up to 30 days a year under certain conditions and in selected countries.


Your tasks and responsibilities:

  • You will be responsible for leading innovation projects in collaboration with experienced clinicians, scientists and influential thought leaders in an international setting.
  • You will develop concepts and implement prototypes for planning functionality in the surgical field (trauma/spine, vascular, thoracic).
  • You will be responsible for developing algorithms, applications and the corresponding prototypes in collaboration with internal and external partners. You will then ensure the successful transition of your results into the R&D and regulatory approval process.
  • Competitive analysis and technology management are also part of your responsibilities.
  • You will publish publications in collaboration with partners and contribute to the development of our IP portfolio.
  • You will regularly present our innovative topics externally to clients and internally to our management.

Your qualifications and experience:

  • You have successfully completed a master’s degree in engineering, computer science, physics or mathematics; a PhD is highly desirable.
  • You have many years of professional experience in the medical technology sector.
  • You have extensive experience in managing innovation or development projects.
  • You have in-depth knowledge of medical image processing (segmentation, registration) and a good understanding of medical imaging.
  • You possess strong programming skills.
  • You have experience in the practical application of artificial intelligence, machine learning and data integration.


Your attributes and skills:

  • You have a fluent command of spoken and written English and German, as well as excellent presentation skills.
  • You are willing to travel internationally (approx. 15%).
  • You are a creative problem-solver and enjoy working in cross-disciplinary teams.
  • Proactive initiative, a results-oriented approach and effective communication come naturally to you: you enjoy bringing fresh ideas to your own team and the entire organization, whilst thinking ahead.
