Your tasks and responsibilities:

• You develop, optimize, and integrate medical image registration algorithms for interventional 2D/3D applications, including multimodal, deformable, and real-time registration techniques, depending on project requirements.
• You design, develop, and implement solutions for medical image processing and analysis, as well as AI-driven methods to advance medical imaging and interventional therapies.
• You ensure the efficient implementation and performance optimization of these algorithms and models on GPU and CPU architecture.
• You proactively contribute to software design and system architecture and help ensure product quality throughout the entire product lifecycle.
• You collaborate closely within an agile, interdisciplinary, and international team with colleagues from Research, Product Management, Innovation, and User Experience.

Your qualifications and experience:

• You hold a master’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field with a focus on Artificial Intelligence and Image Processing. A PhD is considered an advantage.
• You have several years of professional experience in software development, ideally in the fields of medical image processing, image registration, computer graphics, and AI-based image analysis.
• You possess strong expertise in developing software for real-time systems as well as in writing high-quality production code in C++.
• You have experience or knowledge in developing parallel algorithms for GPU architecture.
• Ideally, you have already worked in a regulated healthcare environment or in the field of medical image processing.
