Then come and join our global team as Senior Software Developer (f/m/d) for the Open MRI Reconstruction Framework & SDK to deliver tailored solutions to meet the diverse needs of our customers.
Choose the best place for your work – Within the scope of this position, it is possible, in consultation with your manager, to work mobile (within Germany) up to an average volume of 60% of the respective working hours.
Your tasks and responsibilities:
- You take end-to-end responsibility for the development and continuous evolution of the MR reconstruction framework within our open, digital application ecosystem.
- You take ownership of component design and contribute to architectural decisions by closely collaborating with the software architect and by jointly prototyping, evaluating, and agreeing on technical concepts and improvements.
- Together with your agile team, you ensure technical robustness and long-term maintainability by continuously applying modern engineering practices including clear separation of concerns, strong modularization, versioned interfaces and automated quality gates.
- By collaborating closely with the research community and international partners on end-to-end integrated software, you gather hands on feedback through joint reviews and evaluations and use it to continuously improve the APIs, the framework and its developer experience.
- You enable the research community by guiding researchers in implementing new MR reconstruction solutions and by designing and delivering technical trainings and knowledge sharing formats.

Your qualifications and experience:
- You have a university degree in computer science, medical engineering, or a related field.
- With your deep understanding of MRI physics and reconstruction methods, you can find meaningful abstractions for complex algorithms and are able to develop high-quality reference applications.
- You have hands-on experience in designing scalable software frameworks for digital services, including API design, containerization and excellent developer experience.
- Your broad understanding of modern software development methods has been demonstrated by you through numerous practical applications programmed in C++ or python.
- Ideally, you possess deep knowledge of agile development methodologies and are familiar with the unique aspects of software development for medical devices and applications.

- You possess excellent English skills for smooth team internal communication as well as for international exchange, e.g., with India. Additional knowledge in German is considered a plus.
- You take pride in crafting software that meets the highest standards of quality and reliability.
