Do you want to help create the future of healthcare? Our name, Siemens Healthineers, was selected to honor our people who dedicate their energy and passion to this cause. It reflects their pioneering spirit combined with our long history of engineering in the ever-evolving healthcare industry.

We offer you a flexible and dynamic environment with opportunities to go beyond your comfort zone in order to grow personally and professionally. Sounds interesting?

Then come and join our global team as Global Government Affairs Sustainability Manager (f/m/d), to serve as the company’s primary advocate on sustainability international policy, partnering with global stakeholders to advance initiatives that align with corporate sustainability goals and evolving regulatory landscapes. This role will bridge government relations, sustainability strategy, and quality to position the company as a trusted partner to policymakers, industry associations, NGOs, and multilateral organizations.

Choose the best place for your work – Within the scope of this position, it is possible, in consultation with your manager, to work mobile (within Germany) up to an average volume of 60% of the respective working hours.

Even more flexibility? Mobile working from abroad is possible for up to 30 days a year under certain conditions and in selected countries.

Your tasks and responsibilities:

  • You develop and execute a global government affairs strategy with the Global Sustainability Office that aligns with our corporate sustainability priorities.
  • You act as the translator between internal strategy stakeholders (e.g., sustainability, R&D, manufacturing, supply chain, Global Quality) and external policymakers to ensure regulatory requirements are integrated into product design, manufacturing, commercialization, and market access plans.
  • You monitor and forecast sustainability-related regulations and legislation across major markets (EU, US, APAC, LATAM, MEA) and translate complex policy developments into clear business implications for senior leaders.
  • You lead advocacy efforts with international bodies, policy forums, and multi-stakeholder coalitions to influence sustainable healthcare policies that enable innovation and patient access.
  • You build and maintain trusted relationships with key policymakers, NGOs, and industry leaders to shape the MedTech sustainability agenda and ensure a unified, credible company position.
  • You advise executive leadership on policy risks and opportunities related to sustainability and climate action.
  • You own external political engagement and lobbying disclosures, contribute to material assessments, and support regulatory-driven (e.g., CSRD/ESRS) and voluntary sustainability reporting.
