Your tasks and responsibilities:

  • As a Senior Software Asset Manager (f/m/d), you design and manage Software Asset Management (SAM) across the entire lifecycle for defined strategic software vendors (including SAP, Microsoft, and other enterprise providers).
  • You play a key role in building, establishing, and continuously developing SAM structures, processes, and governance models within Siemens Healthineers.
  • You are responsible for license management as well as contract management with our most important and high-volume software providers.
  • You work both conceptually and operationally with our SAM tool as the central platform for software asset management for the vendors within your area of responsibility (e.g., data models, processes, reports, and compliance analyses).
  • You advise internal departments on the selection of suitable software or license components, modules, and models based on cost-benefit analyses for individual and project-related requirements.
  • In close collaboration with Strategic IT Procurement at Siemens Healthineers, you negotiate optimal licensing conditions with software providers.
  • You are responsible for translating requirements into contracts and implementing them, working closely with Legal, Procurement, and other functions (such as Data Protection and Information Security).
  • Your role includes monitoring and implementing measures to ensure license compliance, preparing license balances, and supporting software provider audit requests.
  • Through demand planning and demand management, you contribute to the continuous improvement of processes and tools for complex licensing agreements within your area of responsibility.
