Then come and join our global team as Data Strategist & Data Architect (f/m/d) in MR to help align the generation, transfer, and processing of our scanner operational data with our current and future strategic objectives.
Choose the best place for your work – Within the scope of this position, it is possible, in consultation with your manager, to work mobile (within Germany) up to an average volume of 60% of the respective working hours.
Even more flexibility? Mobile working from abroad is possible for up to 30 days a year under certain conditions and in selected countries.
This position is full-time or part-time with a minimum of 28h/week.
Your tasks and responsibilities:
- As a Data Strategist, you are responsible for the strategic alignment and operational implementation of data management for Magnetom MR scanners. This covers the entire value chain – from data generation at the scanner as part of a fleet, to storage in the cloud, and to answering business‑relevant questions regarding the condition, operation, and usage of the Magnetom MR scanner fleet.
- As a Data Architect, you ensure the generation, transmission, and analysis of machine data and machine information created during system operation. Where required, you design migration strategies for data generation on the scanners.
- You are responsible for efficient data management, which serves as the foundation for holistic, data‑driven decision‑making.
- You drive the continuous monitoring of the scanner fleet, thereby supporting customers, Customer Service, and Product Lifecycle Management in their operations. Through monitoring, you maintain an up‑to‑date view of the installed base, enabling you to identify changes at an early stage and ensure smooth and reliable operation.
- You are responsible for the strategic design of data generation in the context of technological innovations, with the goal of sustainably increasing the operational availability of our fleet through maximum diagnosability and data‑driven maintenance concepts

Your qualifications and experience:
- You hold a completed Master’s degree in Data Science, (Business) Computer Science, Mathematics/Statistics, Physics with a focus on data analysis, or a comparable field.
- You also have many years of professional experience in the (strategic) handling of large data volumes, for example as a Software Architect or Data Strategist, preferably in a regulated environment such as healthcare.
- You have proven expertise in project management within software development and/or software architecture.
- In addition, you possess in‑depth hands‑on experience with state‑of‑the‑art technologies, particularly .NET, C#, and C++, as well as solid knowledge in system modeling using UML.
- You have advanced expertise in successfully implementing multiple software architecture migration projects in complex and large-scale software systems.
- You are highly confident working in cloud environments.
- Ideally, you can provide certifications such as SSWA or SWA, Microsoft Curriculum Certificates, or Data Science training certifications.
