Then come and join our global team as Senior Staff UX Designer for User-Centered Design Excellence (f/m/d) to play a pivotal role in advancing User Experience. You will empower a global design organization, enhance user experience design quality standards, and drive consistency and innovation across Siemens Healthineers' products and services portfolio. In this role you will impact a huge number of projects, direct, align, and coach designers.

Choose the best place for your work – Within the scope of this position, it is possible, in consultation with your manager, to work mobile (within Germany) up to an average volume of 60% of the respective working hours.

Even more flexibility? Mobile working from abroad is possible for up to 30 days a year under certain conditions and in selected countries.


This position is full-time or part-time with a minimum of 30h/week.


Your tasks and responsibilities:

  • You provide strategic UX leadership across products, projects, and enterprise-wide initiatives, shaping user experience and interaction design excellence at scale.
  • You guide and elevate UX quality by coaching designers and cross-functional teams, enabling impactful and user-centered design decisions throughout the development process.
  • You create compelling UX visions, concepts, and narratives, inspiring stakeholders and design teams through hands-on design leadership and exemplary work.
  • You foster a thriving global design community by establishing forums for collaboration, knowledge sharing, peer learning, and continuous inspiration.
  • You support design teams in solving complex design challenges by designing outstanding solutions, providing constructive feedback, expert guidance, and thought leadership across a wide range of initiatives.
  • You advocate for user-centered design across all organizational levels, building alignment and driving exceptional user experiences across the Siemens Healthineers portfolio.
  • You continuously advance design excellence by identifying emerging trends, evolving best practices, and strengthening our design capabilities globally.

Your qualifications and experience:

  • You hold a degree in Interaction Design, User Experience Design, Human-Computer Interaction, or in a related discipline
  • You bring many years of professional experience in User Experience, Interaction Design, or a related field, with a strong portfolio demonstrating design excellence and measurable business impact.
  • Additionally, you have a proven track record with several years of leading complex design initiatives / projects in agency and/or in-house environments, from strategy through execution and delivery.
  • You have extensive experience guiding and influencing multiple design projects and stakeholders in parallel within complex organizations.
  • You ideally bring experience in healthcare, medical technology, regulated industries, or other highly complex product environments.

  • You communicate fluently in English and effectively engage, influence, and build alignment across global teams and senior stakeholders.
  • You are passionate about coaching, mentoring, and developing designers across different experience levels, fostering a collaborative and high-performing design culture.
  • You are a proactive, adaptable, and inspiring leader who thrives in complex environments, leads without direct authority, and brings positive energy and curiosity to the team.
  • You bring deep expertise in interaction design, user-centered design methodologies, design thinking, and large-scale design systems.
  • You have a strong understanding of end-to-end product development and excel in agile, cross-functional environments.
  • You combine strategic thinking with hands-on design excellence, balancing long-term vision, innovation, and attention to detail.
  • You have a good sense of humor.
