Choose the best place for your work – Within the scope of this position, it is possible, in consultation with your manager, to work mobile (within Germany) up to an average volume of 60% of the respective working hours.
Even more flexibility? Mobile working from abroad is possible for up to 30 days a year under certain conditions and in selected countries.
Your tasks and responsibilities:
- You implement state-of-the-art image processing algorithms to advance medical imaging and image-guided therapies in interventional radiology.
- You are responsible for the efficient implementation of image processing algorithms, as well as for conducting detailed analyses and optimizations and deploying them on GPU and CPU architecture.
- In your role, you are responsible for the entire development cycle – from sound software design through precise product implementation and quality assurance to seamless system integration. You will also actively drive our DevOps processes, thereby ensuring stable and efficient software operations.
- You work in an agile, cross-functional, and international development team, collaborating with internal and external stakeholders from Research & Development, Product Management, Innovation and User Experience.

Your qualifications and experience:
- You have successfully completed a master’s degree in computer science, Information Technology or Electrical Engineering.
- You have several years of professional experience as a software developer, ideally in the field of image processing.
- You have in-depth knowledge of software development for real-time systems and are familiar with developing high-quality product code in C++.
- You have extensive knowledge of Python programming.
- Your skills in CUDA and OpenMP enable you to implement algorithms efficiently.
- Ideally, you have a sound understanding of modern graphics pipelines as well as practical experience in implementing shaders using Vulkan or Direct3D.
- Demonstrable professional experience in the healthcare sector and in medical image processing, or in a comparable regulated environment, is an advantage.

- You possess strong organisational skills, work in a structured and methodical manner with a logical approach to problem-solving, have suitable time management skills, can prioritise tasks effectively, set high personal standards of quality and are results oriented.
- You have excellent communication skills in English (written and spoken) and produce high-quality visual representations of your results. Good knowledge of German is an advantage.
