Position Summary:

We are seeking a hands-on Senior Software Engineer to design, develop, test, and maintain a cloud-based oncology SaaS platform deployed on AWS and used by patients, clinicians, and healthcare providers. The platform includes modern web applications, cloud services, and data solutions leveraging Snowflake for analytics and reporting.

The ideal candidate is a strong full-stack or backend engineer with experience building scalable SaaS applications, working in Agile teams, and contributing to all phases of the software development lifecycle, including design, development, testing, deployment, and production support.

The product is Siemens Healthineers´s cloud-based software solution for patient relationships and care navigation management. It’s designed to connect cancer patients with their clinics online throughout the entire cancer journey. The product used by 35 000+ active cancer patients and healthcare professionals from leading oncology centers in North America and Europe.  The candidate in this role will provide strong product development leadership to a team of software engineers and test engineers, working in an agile/scrum environment.

Job Description
Position Duties:
  • Design, develop, test, and maintain high-quality software solutions for patient-facing and clinician-facing applications.
  • Develop and support integrations with Snowflake data warehouse solutions.
  • Build and optimize dimensional data models, data marts, and analytical datasets.
  • Develop scalable ETL/ELT pipelines to ingest, transform, and integrate data from multiple SaaS applications and cloud services.
  • Utilize AI-assisted software development tools to improve coding, testing, debugging, documentation, and development productivity.
  • Support development of dashboards, KPIs, operational reports, and product usage analytics.
  • Implement scalable, secure, and reliable cloud-native services on AWS.
  • Develop APIs, backend services, and user-facing features that meet functional, performance, and security requirements.
  • Participate in architecture discussions, technical design reviews, and code reviews.
  • Collaborate with data engineers and product teams to enable reporting, analytics, and data-driven features.
  • Own quality throughout the development lifecycle by creating unit, integration, and automated tests.
Qualifications Required: BE, MSc, MCA, Computer Science or related discipline.

Number of year’s related experience: 7-12 years 

Special Knowledge / Skills: 
Required:
  • Strong hands-on experience with Snowflake data warehouse and data integration solutions.
  • Strong SQL development and performance optimization skills.
  • Experience building ETL/ELT pipelines and data integration solutions.
  • Strong hands-on experience with Java/Kotlin and Spring Boot
  • Experience with Generative AI, Large Language Models (LLMs), AI agents, and AI-assisted software development tools.
  • Experience working with AWS cloud services and modern SaaS architectures.
  • Experience with Agile/Scrum development methodologies.
  • Familiarity with IEC 62304, ISO 13485, HIPAA, GDPR, or similar standards.
Nice to have:
  • Experience developing healthcare products conforming quality system regulations.
  • Experience with AWS services such as S3, Lambda, Glue, RDS, Redshift, EventBridge, or ECS/EKS.
  • Experience in healthcare domain and medical interoperability standards such as FHIR, HL7
  • Certifications from AWS or Azure
