The Software Test Architect will conceptualize and create product architecture for medical applications within the Computed Tomography business of Simens Healthineers.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Define and evolve overall test strategy, architecture, and roadmap for complex software systems across web and desktop.
  • Develop scalable and maintainable test automation frameworks and tools across multiple platforms (Majorly on Web, Desktop).
  • Select appropriate tools and technologies for UI, API, performance, and security testing.
  • Research, evaluate emerging technologies and trends in testing, and recommend new tools and technologies to improve test effectiveness and efficiency.
  • Establish and enforce testing standards, best practices, and governance for automation, data management, and reporting.
  • Identify and implement tools for CI/CD pipeline integration with testing.
  • Identify and manage technical Debt.
  • Provide architectural guidance for embedding security testing practices into the lifecycle.
  • Analyze and troubleshoot non-automatable scenarios, proposing design or architecture improvements.
  • Collaborate with performance engineers to define robust performance and scalability testing strategies.
  • Ensure continuous testing and fast feedback loops through automated quality gates.
  • Implement automated test reporting and dashboards for real-time visibility into test results and reports.
  • Lead proof-of-concept (POC) for new automation approaches.
  • Drive quality metrics and KPIs and ensure quality gates are met across projects.
Technical Leadership and Guidance
  • Collaborate with product managers, developers, and DevOps to integrate quality across the SDLC.
  • Mentor and guide Test engineers and Software Developers to strengthen automation and test engineering skills.
  • Conduct code reviews for automation frameworks and test scripts to ensure quality and consistency.
  • Act as a subject matter expert, resolving complex issues related to testing, debugging, and system integration.
  • Lead technical reviews of test automation code and architect
  • Implement strategies for early defect detection and prevention.
  • Influence the culture of quality within the engineering organization.
  • Clearly communicate testing progress, challenges, and outcomes to stakeholders.
  • Work closely with development, DevOps, product, and architecture teams to align testing with overall delivery goals.
  • Advocate for quality engineering and promote automation excellence across teams.
Desired Skills:
  • Prior experience in testing and delivery of applications for CT/console systems is considered an asset.
  • Prior experience in healthcare domain and imaging background is advantageous for this role.
  • Minimum 10 years of professional experience in test automation and quality assurance.
  • Hands-on experience designing automation frameworks from scratch.
  • Familiarity with Agile and DevOps methodologies.
  • Experience with performance testing.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and debugging abilities.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills.
  • A proactive and adaptable mindset with ownership of automation architecture and quality outcomes.
  • Programming: C# (Expert), C++ (Able to understand and analyze code), Angular, JS.
  • Testing Tools/framework: NUnit, Moq, Playwright, Selenium
  • Windows Desktop application Testing: TAU (Preferred)
  • API Testing: HTTP-REST API,
  • Version Control: TFVC & Azure Git (Strong experience)
  • Operating Systems: Windows and Linux
