Then come and join our global team as Head of Quality for Medical Electronics (f/m/d) to take responsibility for the quality management of electronic components used in our high-end medical devices. Help us sustainably ensure our high-quality standards!
Choose the best place for your work – Within the scope of this position, it is possible, in consultation with your manager, to work mobile (within Germany) up to an average volume of 60% of the respective working hours.
Even more flexibility? Mobile working from abroad is possible for up to 30 days a year under certain conditions and in selected countries.
Your tasks and responsibilities:
- As Global Head of Quality (QT) for Medical Electronics (ME) at Siemens Healthineers, your primary motivation is to always ensure the highest quality of our products and processes – considering the “total cost” perspective of our internal and external customers
- You hold global responsibility for operational quality management, including the teams based in Germany (Erlangen) and China (Shenzhen)
- You continuously drive improvement initiatives and efficiency enhancements, collaborate closely with operational stakeholders, and coordinate reporting on quality topics such as the Product Quality Report (PQR)
- You prepare and facilitate regular reviews with the management team at the Erlangen site and evaluate relevant KPIs in alignment with the Quality organization
- You contribute to the preparation and execution of internal and external audits and support the implementation of corrective actions
- You contribute to the overall success of the ME unit by representing Quality within the ME management team and ensuring strong alignment of ME QT with other Technology Center (TC) units
- In addition, you lead and motivate international teams and ensure regulatory compliance of the TC Quality Management System (QMS) at the Erlangen and Shenzhen sites
- You are responsible for the competency management of your employees, support their development, and actively drive your talent and succession pipeline

Your qualifications and experience:
- You hold a degree in business administration, engineering, or a comparable qualification combined with many years of solid experience in quality management
- You bring extensive professional and disciplinary leadership experience and know how to guide your team as a mentor, motivator, and coach
- You are familiar with relevant standards and regulations related to QMS and audits, such as EN ISO 13485, EN ISO 9001:2015, 21 CFR, EU MDR, MPDG, Chinese regulations, ISO 19011, C-MDD, J-PAL, and other applicable standards in an international environment
- Not yet experienced in the medical technology industry but coming from another highly regulated field such as automotive or aerospace? You are still highly valuable to us
- You have hands-on experience with Lean methods such as A3 and value stream mapping, as well as quality methods such as FMEA, Six Sigma, Kaizen, etc.
- You can derive compliant and practical requirements from regulations, best practices, and guidelines while always keeping Lean principles in mind
Your attributes and skills:
- As we operate in an international environment, you are fluent in both German and English, written and spoken
- You have excellent communication skills, enabling you to collaborate confidently across different business units, cultures, and management levels
- You demonstrate a confident presence, particularly in cross-functional collaboration, international environments, and in interactions with Notified Bodies
- You work in a structured and goal-oriented manner, even under high workload and changing requirements
- Your strengths include strong results, customer, and quality orientation combined with a pragmatic approach
