Responsibilities: 

The Third-Party Software Compliance Manager is tasked with leading and elevating the Third-Party Software Compliance Team. This includes mentoring team members, fostering a culture of continuous improvement, and expanding the team’s role within the realm of software compliance. You will be responsible for promoting effective collaboration with Third-Party Software managers from various divisions to ensure organization-wide compliance. In your role, you will assist the Corporate Third-Party Software Manager in enacting regulatory standards, optimizing the software compliance process, and developing key performance indicators to monitor and communicate the team's achievements. Additionally, you will be the team's ambassador in both internal and external venues, highlighting their proficiency and value to the wider organization and industry.  

Leadership Skills:
  • Leadership and Team Management: Demonstrated ability to inspire and manage a team, encouraging ongoing enhancement and enlarging the team's influence in software compliance. At least 2 years of experience in team management. 
  • Communication and Collaboration: Excellent communication skills, capable of engaging with different business sectors and hierarchies, and presenting the team's capabilities in various settings. At least 4 years of working with multi-cultural international team environment is required. Experience in presenting in international open-source conferences will be highly preferred.  
  • Organizational and Productivity Skills: Competent in handling numerous intricate projects in parallel while maintaining high efficiency. 
  • Independent Judgment: Aptitude for making prudent autonomous decisions, particularly in high-pressure situations. 
  • Analytical and Problem-Solving Skills: Acute analytical thinking with a detail-oriented approach to resolving intricate problems. 
  • Professional Integrity: Exhibits determination, forbearance, veracity, and resilience when faced with demanding circumstances. 
Technical Skills: 
  • Software Compliance Expertise: In-depth understanding of software licensing compliance, encompassing open-source technologies, current licensing dynamics, and industry best practices. 
  • Experience with Compliance Tools: Skilled in utilizing compliance assessment tools such as Black Duck, FOSSology, or analogous software for license analysis and adherence. 
  • Understanding of Software Development: Strong grasp of software creation and distribution workflows, with a special focus on the integration of third-party software. 
  • Contractual and Negotiation Skills: Proven experience in the negotiation of software licenses, including inbound licensing rights, with a thorough appreciation of the technical and contractual nuances. 
  • Dashboard Reporting and Inventory Management: Proficiency in creating and maintaining dashboard reports for licensing oversight and managing license inventory databases. 
Educational Qualifications: 

Degree: Bachelor’s or Master’s in Computer Science, Electronics & Communication, Electrical Engineering, or a similar domain (for example, B.E., B.Tech, BCA, MCA, or M.Tech). 

Experience: At least 9 to 12 years of pertinent experience in software development, software compliance, open-source software contributions or a closely related area.
