As an IT License Management Professional for multiple software vendors, you will be part of the global Siemens Healthineers IT team. You will manage license infrastructures and ensure compliant, efficient, and cost‑effective use of engineering and enterprise software across the organization.

Tasks and Responsibilities

  • End‑to‑end owner of multiple software license environments, focusing primarily on flexlm/flexnet‑based license servers as well as other vendor‑specific technologies.

  • Manage token, floating, and site license models across various vendors, ensuring optimal allocation, availability, and utilization.

  • Oversee day‑to‑day license service operations, including monitoring, troubleshooting, vendor coordination, and lifecycle management.

  • Maintain transparent usage metrics, generate reports, and drive optimization based on actual consumption and business needs.

  • Ensure compliance with license agreements, contractual terms, audits, and legal frameworks across all managed vendors.

  • Establish and maintain policies, standards, and procedures for software license management ensuring high quality and traceability.

  • Implement processes to identify security concerns, gaps, and remediation actions relevant to license servers and software distribution.

  • Evaluate new vendor requirements, assess impacts on existing licensing architectures, and design required changes.

  • Consult and support business units regarding new demand, license model selection, cost estimation, and implementation of new or changed license services.

Education, Experience and Knowledge/Skills

  • Preferably you hold a university degree in information technology, computer science, business informatics, or a related field.

Preferred Technical Skills

  • Experience with software license management, especially environments using flexlm/flexnet including license server administration.

  • Experience with license monitoring tools, reporting dashboards, and vendor‑specific license utilities.

  • Solid understanding of token‑based, floating, and site licensing models.

  • Familiarity with IT Service Management, software deployment, Internet technologies, and/or cloud licensing concepts (e.g., SaaS, subscription models).

  • Knowledge of ITIL processes is a plus.

  • Experience interacting with multiple software vendors (e.g., CAD/CAE/ECAD tools, engineering software).

Non‑Technical Skills

  • Strong analytical and structured working style to manage complex global license requirements and their interdependencies.

  • High customer orientation and strong communication skills to align with users and negotiate with vendors and align cost‑efficient license strategies.

  • Ability to communicate effectively in English; German language skills are welcome.

  • Team‑oriented mindset and ability to collaborate with IT service teams, procurement, finance, engineering departments, and vendors.

In line with applicable pay transparency requirements, the minimum gross monthly base salary for this position is 2 500€.

In addition, this role includes a variable compensation component, depending on individual and/or company performance.

The final offer will be determined based on qualifications, skills, and experience and may exceed the stated minimum.
