Job Description: Hospital Operations Manager – Radiology (Value Partnership)

Role Overview

The Operations Manager serves as the liaison between the customer (hospital / health system) and Siemens Healthineers to bring value by providing departmental oversight to fulfil contractual obligations and enhance the overall performance of the Radiology Department.
This is achieved by leveraging Siemens Healthineers’ global expertise, best practices, and performance improvement methodologies to deliver best-in-class operational and clinical outcomes. 
The Operations Manager will be based at the hospital and will serve for a mutually agreed duration of hours per day/month across the tenure of the contract.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Value Partnership & Strategic Alignment
Lead the definition, prioritization, and mutual agreement of performance improvement (PI) initiatives aligned to the outcomes of the performance-based partnership 
Act as the primary relationship owner, ensuring strategic alignment, governance, and continuity across all value partnership engagements
Drive structured governance mechanisms (e.g., review forums, steering committees) to track performance and outcomes

2. Performance Improvement & KPI Management:

Conduct initial assessment and validation of proposed PI projects to ensure alignment with: 
o Agreed KPIs
o Technology roadmap
o Commercial model 
Define measurable success metrics and ensure linkage to contractual outcomes
Continuously monitor performance metrics (throughput, utilization, wait times, etc.) and identify improvement opportunities

3. Project Governance & Execution:

Ensure clear alignment on project timelines, goals, success metrics, and dependencies, in line with phased value realization and post–go-live performance measurement
Oversee end-to-end execution of PI projects, ensuring: 
o Timely milestones achievement
o Phase-wise performance reviews
o Formal client approvals based on demonstrated outcomes [ 
Track benefits realization against agreed targets

4. Stakeholder & Relationship Management:

Serve as the central coordination point between: 
o Siemens consulting leads
o Change management teams
o Client-side operational and clinical stakeholders
Ensure effective communication, alignment, and issue resolution
Maintain strong onsite presence to drive collaboration and adoption

5. Change Management & Adoption:

Enable adoption of operational improvements, workflows, and technology solutions
Support local taskforces in embedding process changes
Ensure sustained behavioral and operational transformation

6. Operational Oversight (Radiology Department):

Provide departmental oversight to optimize: 
o Workflow efficiency
o Resource utilization
o Patient throughput and experience
Coordinate across staffing, scheduling, and process optimization initiatives
Drive continuous improvement culture within the Radiology department

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in: 
o Healthcare Management / Hospital Administration / Biomedical Engineering / Life Sciences
Master’s degree (preferred): 
o MBA (Healthcare / Operations / Strategy) or
o Master’s in Hospital Administration (MHA)
Certifications (preferred): 
o Lean Six Sigma (Green/Black Belt)
o Project Management (PMP / Prince2)

Relevant Experience:

Experience in: 
o Hospital operations, preferably Radiology / Diagnostic Imaging
o Healthcare consulting or performance improvement engagements
o Managing outcome-based or KPI-driven projects
Exposure to: 
o Large hospital systems / multi-site healthcare networks
o Technology-led transformation (RIS/PACS, imaging workflows, digital health)
Experience in stakeholder management across clinical and non-clinical teams

Years of Experience:

10–15 years total experience, with: 
o Minimum 5–8 years in hospital operations / healthcare delivery
o Minimum 3–5 years in leadership or program management roles
o Prior experience in Radiology or Imaging Operations strongly preferred

Strong understanding of healthcare operational KPIs and benchmarking
Proven ability to drive performance improvement initiatives
Program and project management expertise
Stakeholder management and influencing skills (C-suite to frontline)
Analytical and data-driven decision-making capability
Change management and transformation leadership
Ability to work in outcome-based, risk-sharing partnership models

Reports to: Value Partnership / Enterprise Services Leadership (Siemens Healthineers)
Key Interfaces: 
o Hospital CEO / COO / Medical Director
o Radiology Heads and Clinical Teams
o Siemens Consulting, Digital, and Service Teams

Success Measures:

Achievement of contracted KPIs and outcomes
Measurable improvements in:
