Position Summary:
We are seeking a Senior Software Quality Assurance Engineer to lead quality assurance activities for our cloud-based oncology software platform used by patients, clinicians, and healthcare providers worldwide.

This role is responsible for defining and executing testing strategies, driving test automation, ensuring product quality across web and cloud services, and supporting software validation activities in a regulated medical device environment.

The successful candidate will work closely with software engineers, product managers, UX designers, clinical experts, DevOps engineers, and regulatory stakeholders to ensure that every release meets the highest standards of quality, reliability, performance, and patient safety.

This is a hands-on role requiring strong expertise in software testing, automation, Agile development, SaaS platforms, and quality engineering practices.

The product is Siemens Healthineer´s cloud-based software solution for patient relationships and care navigation management. It’s designed to connect cancer patients with their clinics online throughout the entire cancer journey. The product used by 35 000+ active cancer patients and healthcare professionals from leading oncology centers in North America and Europe.  The candidate in this role will provide strong product development leadership to a team of software engineers and test engineers, working in an agile/scrum environment.

Job Description
Position Duties:
  • Develop comprehensive test plans and test cases based on product requirements, risk assessments, and user workflows.
  • Execute verification and validation strategies -Integration, Functional, Performance, and Scalability & Reliability.
  • Utilize AI-assisted software development tools to improve coding, testing, debugging, documentation, and development productivity.
  • Oversee the integration of automated tests into CI/CD pipelines to support agile delivery and continuous testing
  • Design, develop, and maintain automated test frameworks. Ability to test across UI, API, and cloud services—not just UI testing.
  • Responsible for testing automation infrastructure and design. Integrate automated testing into CI/CD pipelines.
  • Establish QA metrics and monitor automation effectiveness, track bug trends, analyze automation test coverage, and report on release readiness to stakeholders
  • Verify application behavior across multiple browsers, devices, and environments.
  • Support software testing activities in accordance with quality management processes.
  • Maintain testing documentation required for audits and regulatory reviews.
  • Works closely with product management, engineering & architects to understand product design, influences product architecture and design decisions for testability.
  • Recommend process improvements to increase test quality, improve test productivity, and streamline test processes.
Qualifications Required: BE, MSc, MCA, Computer Science or related discipline.

Number of year’s related experience: 8-12 years 

Special Knowledge / Skills: Required:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or related field.
  • 5+ years of software quality assurance experience.
  • 3+ years of experience testing SaaS or cloud-based software products.
  • Hands-on experience with automation test framework
  • Experience with Generative AI, Large Language Models (LLMs), AI agents, and AI-assisted software development tools.
  • Experience working in Agile/Scrum software development teams.
  • Experience supporting frequent production releases.
  • Strong understanding of software development lifecycle processes.
Nice to have:
  • Experience developing healthcare products conforming quality system regulations.
  • Experience in healthcare domain and medical interoperability standards such as FHIR, HL7
  • Certifications from AWS or Azure
  • Experience testing AWS-hosted SaaS applications.
  • Experience with Splunk, Dynatrace, and Pendo.
  • Experience with mobile automation testing frameworks.
  • Experience in healthcare, digital health, or medical device software.
