Position Summary:
We are looking for Senior Software Architect to work with 25+ strong product development organization in Pune. Cloud Architect will design, develop and guide overall cloud architecture of Cloud SaaS product and it’s interconnections to other Varian and Siemens products. In addition, the role will have a product focus to dive deep into the software architecture on selected features. You will have an opportunity to work with a talented engineering team on a cloud native SaaS application. As we are in regulated medical domain, information security is an important design consideration in everything we do.

The product is Siemens Healthineers´s cloud-based software solution for patient relationships and care navigation management. It’s designed to connect cancer patients with their clinics online throughout the entire cancer journey. The product used by 35 000+ active cancer patients and healthcare professionals from leading oncology centers in North America and Europe.  The candidate in this role will provide strong product development leadership to a team of software engineers and test engineers, working in an agile/scrum environment.

Job Description
Position Duties:
  • Responsible for contributing/driving technical architecture in Noona Engineering group in Pune. This includes all aspects of design and architecture – performance, scalability, reusability, testability, and simplicity.
  • Work collaboratively with product management to understand business requirements and convert them into technical architecture. Hands on elaborate & develop proof of concept for next generation technology solutions.
  • Integrate Generative AI capabilities into the design and development lifecycle.
  • Work in tandem with other Architects within Varian/Siemens groups and influence them on technology and solutions of Noona product.
  • Effectively drive technical architecture and design reviews and influence global stakeholders in global forum and obtain agreement with the stakeholders.
  • Effectively communication the architectural concepts to the development scrum teams and guide/support them to implement/adopt new architecture, design, framework, or tools in respective projects.
  • Demonstrate leadership, technically mentor engineering leads and scrum team members to drive towards continuously improving their effectiveness.
Qualifications Required: BE, MSc, MCA, Computer Science or related discipline.

Number of year’s related experience: 8-12 years.

Special Knowledge / Skills: Required:
  • 8-12 years of experience in software application development with 4 years of working experience in senior technical role
  • Strong object-oriented programming skills in JAVA and Kotlin with Spring.
  • Experience using AI coding assistants such as GitHub Copilot, ChatGPT, Cursor, Claude, or similar tools.
  • Strong frontend programming skills in Typescript and Angular.
  • Mobile app development experience with open-source UI toolkit (React native, Flutter etc.)
  • Experience working with source control and configuration management tools like Gitlab.
  • Experience in SQL database technologies (PostgreSQL and Snowflake technologies are a plus).
  • Experience with working in Cloud native SaaS environment such as AWS or Azure.
  • Working knowledge of Service Oriented Architecture (SOA) and Microservice Architecture.
  • Experience in security implementations/best practices in cloud environment.
  • Hands on experience in software development using agile/scrum framework.
  • Proficient in oral and written communication in English (no Finnish required)
Nice to have:
  • Experience developing healthcare products conforming quality system regulations.
  • Experience in healthcare domain and medical interoperability standards such as FHIR, HL7
  • Certifications from AWS or Azure
