Position Title - HR Business Partner – Bangalore Factory

Location - Bangalore

Key Responsibilities & Deliverables

1. HR Business Partnering (Strategic)

  • Act as a trusted HR advisor to plant leadership and functional heads
  • Translate business and production goals into people strategies
  • Drive organizational effectiveness, workforce productivity, and culture alignment
  • Support change management initiatives linked to expansion, automation, or scale-up

2. Headcount Planning & Talent Management

  • Own manpower planning, budgeting, and workforce optimization for the factory
  • Ensure right capability and skill availability across shifts and lines
  • Partner with TA teams to fulfill hiring needs (permanent and contract workforce)
  • Support succession planning for critical factory roles

3. Performance Management & Capability Development

  • Drive end-to-end performance review processes for factory employees
  • Support managers in goal setting, reviews, and performance differentiation
  • Design and deploy capability-building interventions for shop-floor and supervisory talent
  • Strengthen people-leader skills and frontline leadership effectiveness

4. Employee Relations & Statutory Compliance

  • Lead employee relations for the factory with a proactive, preventive approach
  • Ensure full compliance with:

·       Factories Act

·       Industrial Disputes Act

·       Contract Labour (Regulation & Abolition) Act

·       PF, ESIC, Gratuity, Bonus, Minimum Wages & Wage Code

  • Independently liaise with:

·       Labour inspectors

·       Statutory auditors

·       Government authorities

  • Handle investigations, disciplinary actions, and dispute resolution when required

5. Employee Engagement & Factory Culture Building

  • Drive engagement initiatives tailored for a factory environment
  • Strengthen communication, trust, discipline, and inclusion on the shop floor
  • Support leadership in fostering a high-performance, safety-first, and respectful culture
  • Track engagement indicators and implement corrective actions

6. Operations & HR Systems

  • Ensure strong execution of core HR operations including attendance, leave, payroll inputs, and contractor management
  • Improve HR process efficiency through system adoption and standardization
  • Maintain accurate employee and compliance records
  • Partner with COEs and shared services to ensure seamless HR delivery

Key Competencies

  • Strong understanding of manufacturing HR and industrial relations
  • High credibility with plant leadership and workforce
  • Hands-on, detail-driven, yet strategic in thinking
  • Ability to operate independently in a complex factory setting
  • Strong stakeholder management and decision-making skills

Educational Background

  • Engineer by qualification (preferred), with strong manufacturing exposure
  • MBA / MSW / Postgraduate degree in:

·       Human Resources

·       Industrial Relations

·       Labour Studies

Experience

  • 8–10 years of relevant HR experience
  • Exposure to medium to large-scale manufacturing plants, preferably in electronics manufacturing

Strong hands-on experience in factory HR and industrial relations is preferred.
