Student Job or Internship – Excel VBA Developer

For the upgrade of an existing quotation tool developed in Excel, which is used to prepare quotations, we are looking for a motivated student with knowledge of Visual Basic programming code (VBA). You will be responsible for improving and expanding the existing tool or, where appropriate, completely redesigning the quotation tool using an alternative platform, which can be applied within our organization. The design and development of Power BI, Power Automate, and SharePoint tools may also form part of a longer-term internship.

Tasks and Responsibilities

  • Analyze the current Excel tool and the existing VBA code
  • Evaluate whether an alternative software solution should be used to develop the quotation tool
  • Identify and resolve bugs and error messages
  • Consult with stakeholders to clarify requirements
  • Develop and implement new functionalities based on internal needs
  • Optimize the performance and user-friendliness of the tool
  • Document the implemented changes and new features
  • Test the tool and validate that it works correctly

Profile

  • Student in a relevant field of study (IT, Computer Science, Engineering, Applied Computer Science, …)
  • VBA (Visual Basic for Applications)
  • Experience writing and debugging macros is a strong plus
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Able to work independently and in a structured manner
  • Good knowledge of Dutch or French/English

Offer
