Apply now for the position of Facilities Officer and you will support our Sudbury manufacturing sites. This is a dynamic role where no two days are the same—perfect for someone who thrives in a fast‑paced, purpose‑driven environment and wants to make a meaningful contribution to healthcare.
Your Role:
- Lead and coordinate Facilities operations across all three Sudbury sites, ensuring safe, compliant, and cost‑effective service delivery while promoting an inclusive and accessible environment for all colleagues.
- Plan, deliver, and oversee facilities projects—from refurbishments to infrastructure upgrades—bringing ideas to life while managing timelines, budgets, and diverse stakeholder needs.
- Manage all maintenance activities, driving high standards, timely completion, and effective collaboration across teams and external partners.
- Ensure full statutory and regulatory compliance, including oversight of Legionella controls, Fire Risk Assessments, and adherence to Gas Safe, NIC/EIC, FRA, and 240V electrical safety requirements.
- Oversee contractor management, ensuring welcoming, inclusive onboarding, safety briefings, competency checks, and strong supplier relationships.
- Lead inspections and audits, ensuring thorough documentation, corrective actions, and alignment with BSI and internal safety expectations.
- Manage Facilities, Cleaning, Welfare, and Security services, ensuring high‑quality service delivery that supports accessibility and aligns with operational and budget requirements.
- Provide expert guidance on environmental, infrastructure, and operational projects, influencing decisions that shape the future of our sites and contribute to colleague wellbeing.
- Empower and develop team members, leading daily huddles, training sessions, and cultural initiatives that foster respect, inclusion, and continuous learning.
- Prepare clear and actionable reports for Senior Management, delivering insights on KPIs, compliance, financial stewardship, and overall Facilities performance.
Your Expertise:
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in a facilities or operations role, ideally in a regulated or manufacturing environment.
- Supervisory or team leadership experience (Desirable).
- Evidence of good contractor management skills & experience.
- Experience managing Legionella controls, Fire Risk Assessments, and working knowledge of CDM Regulations.
- Strong organisational, planning, and project management capabilities.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to engage colleagues at all levels.
- Comfortable working both independently and as part of a diverse, multidisciplinary team.
