Job Description: Buying Professional

Key responsibilities

Negotiations
Preparing and conducting contract / price negotiations e.g. with facility management companies, designer and general contractors in order to achieve project goals with the best conditions. The responsibility includes national as well as international negotiations.

Process responsibility and purchasing project management 
Ensuring orderly procurement processes and controlling all purchasing resources and activities as well as keeping all involved in purchasing well informed in order to provide optimal input on potential savings (procurement plan, target costing) and to fulfill requirements in terms of schedules and quality.

Purchasing strategies
Defining and successfully implementing procurement strategies in projects on the basis of SRE purchasing strategies, identifying solution approaches and integrating various objects in order to achieve project goals.

Risk management
Assessing special risks, opportunities and market situations with regard to project progress in order to prevent possible damage by means of suitable risk and claim 
management (e.g. contractual conditions) and to exploit opportunities.

Contract and supplier management
Ensuring successful contract and supplier management in order to continuously improve supplier quality and supplier portfolio

Information management
Systematic forwarding of important project documents (e.g. updated contract conditions, supplier management data)
to ensure all project members have up-to-date information.

Work groups
Attending work groups and forwarding information 
to inform self and others, to exert early influence, and to optimize internal workflows and processes.

Dispute Resolution
Providing secondary interface with suppliers, in support of Siemens Facility Management, with regards to change management and contract disputes. Completing unbiased evaluation of related facts in order to present a reasonable settlement of supplier's claim. 

Qualification: Graduate or Post Graduate degree preferably in Engineering

Experience: Minimum 8-10 Years of relevant experience in Real Estate / Facility Management
