PhD Student (f/m/d) CT Reconstruction
Mode of Employment: Fixed Term / 17,5h/Week
Then come and join our global team as PhD (f/m/d) for CT Reconstruction (Computed Tomography).
Choose the best place for your work – Within the scope of this position, it is possible, in consultation with your manager, to work mobile (within Germany) up to an average volume of 60% of the respective working hours.
Your tasks and responsibilities:
- You will explore novel material decomposition methods using modern medical CT scanners, as well as, more generally, advancing image reconstruction in close collaboration with the Professor in Salt Lake City, Utah, USA
- You will also closely interact with the CT physics team, learning to run experiments with state-of-the-art CT equipment

Your qualifications and experience:
- You hold a master’s degree in applied mathematics, physics, image processing, medical imaging, medical engineering or comparable field of study
- You have good programming skills in Python or MatLab
- Additionally, you are familiar with Office365
- You enjoy using mathematical methods to solve real-world problems
- Ideally you have experience in the field of Computed Tomography
Your attributes and skills:
- You have very good English skills; German is a plus
- You are communicative and a team player
- You are willing to travel to Salt Lake City, Utah, USA to connect with the professor (which can involve a stay for several months)
