Site Wellbeing Coordinator – Point of Care (Part-Time 3 Days a Week)

Join our team now at Siemens Healthineers as Site Wellbeing Coordinator within the Point of Care Diagnostics business line based in Sudbury.  This role is being offered on a part-time contract, 3 days a week, with a pro-rata salary.  

The Site Health Management Specialist promotes, protects, and preserves the health of employees at assigned Point of Care Diagnostics location(s). This specialty focuses on promoting wellbeing by driving the implementation of health management programming. The successful candidate will foster and influence a healthy business culture with EHS integrated into all site activities to provide an on-site benefit to our employees with high engagement, empathy, and support. 

Job Responsibilities:

Health Management
  • Coordinate and organize any health-related checks (e.g. health checks, vaccinations, ergonomic assessments).
  • Liaise with external health providers (e.g. contractor nurse/physio/occupational health etc) to manage safety-critical medicals and health surveillance.
  • Maintain compliance with Siemens Healthineers’ Global Health Management program and ISO 45001 standards.
  • Support EHS audits and regulatory inspections related to health management.
  • Lead and drive a Health and Wellbeing Roadmap for the site to ensure that we are driving continual improvement and putting Safety and Wellbeing first.
  • Monthly health and wellbeing newsletters to be issued and created for the site.

Wellbeing & Mental Health
  • Lead wellbeing initiatives, campaigns, workshops and events on relevant topics to educate employees and drive a positive culture (e.g. neurodiversity).
  • To create an inclusive and diverse open communication channel for all employees on Health and Wellbeing topics.
  • Provide 1:1 support to employees and signpost to appropriate services (e.g. GP, other medical professionals and/or Healthineers Life and Work Assistance Programme).
  • Coordinate and support Wellbeing Champions and Mental Health First Aiders.
  • Actively participates in the Global DX EHS Health Management Forum and acts as a representative for the site on all Health and Wellbeing matters.
  • Develop and track wellbeing KPIs and feedback mechanisms.
  • Partner with EHS colleagues to embed a safety and wellbeing first culture across all site activities.
  • Lead, drive and support training and awareness sessions on health and wellbeing topics.
  • Investigates, develops, implements, tracks, and evaluates health management offerings and campaigns to the site’s employees to promote better outcomes in physical, mental, and emotional health (e.g. health and wellbeing events and programs, chronic disease management, etc.)
  • Act as responsible person on all Safeguarding elements for the site and provide advice to all on this matter.
  • Regularly present to employees on Health and Wellbeing topics at Town Halls, Management Meetings and globally in the Health Management Community.
  • Ensure that any wellbeing sessions, encounters and meetings are documented for internal and external auditing purposes and filed confidentially.

Qualifications/Skills& Experience:

  • 3+ years of professional experience in a mental health and wellbeing in some capacity
  • Passion for employee wellbeing and mental health advocacy.
  • Ability to influence, communicate effectively and engage across all levels of the business.
  • Comfortable working independently and collaboratively.
  • Able to built trust and rapport and maintain confidentiality at all times.
  • Willingness to evolve the role as part of a succession plan.
  • Knowledge of EHS regulations and experience in a manufacturing setting preferred.
  • Successful candidate will spend a significant percentage of time in physical work environment to ensure visibility, employee engagement, and availability to site personnel. This may include ensuring availability on all shifts.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and influence a health-focused employee culture including the ability to explain complex medical information to lay personnel.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to provide counseling to all levels of employees on sensitive medical concerns. 
  • Technical experience in the use of Microsoft Office.
