Apply now for the position of Senior Project Manager based in Karachi, Pakistan.

Your role:

  • You will develop project plans that identify resource and budgetary needs
  • You will host project meetings at least once a week with team and managers
  • Provide feedback, advice, project updates and encouragement to team members
  • Manage deadlines and push the team to ensure timeliness
  • Coordinate with vendors and suppliers as needed
  • Develop internal communication strategies useful in ensuring communication between various departments of an organization
  • Use specialized tools and techniques to delegate and ensure even distribution of tasks to project team members.
  • Manage every aspect of a project, including its planning, communication, risk assessment, and resources.
  • Create, maintain, and deliver communication plans, status updates, charters, schedules and budgets
  • Proactively manage projects to deliver them in-scope, on-time and on-budget while enforcing checkpoints and managing change-control
  • Manage risks and issues during the execution process.
  • Proactively communicate and collaborate with external and internal customers to analyze information needs and functional requirements.
  • Successfully manage multiple initiatives/projects simultaneously.
  • Provides ongoing project update reports to internal teams and partners.
  • Document and receive sign-off on requirements.
  • Work with management on project proposals, bids, contracts, estimates, and schedules and contribute to project estimation process.
  • Maintain awareness of emerging technologies and project management techniques.
  • Analyze and provide regular status reports that are objective and reflect the true state of progress.
  • Coordinate activities to promote workflow and manage escalations either within the team or to sponsors and executives when needing steer.

Your expertise

  • Bachelor’s degree in project management, or relevant discipline.
  • Essential background in diagnostics, healthcare, or the pharmaceutical sector.
  • 5+ years of experience in Project Management; people and resource management are essential to the position.
  • PMP or PRINCE2 certification is a strong asset.
  • Excellent communications and interpersonal skills to manage organization as well as expectations and provide transparency in complex matrix environment.
  • Ability to lead, motivate, influence, negotiate, and develop diverse teams.
  • Leadership Skill: able to direct the operations of a project unit to ensure set goals are achieved
  • Problem-solving skills: apply project management principles and methodologies in seeking solutions to project problems.
