About the Role

We are seeking a meticulous and proactive Manual QA Engineer to join our Agile Scrum development team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the quality and reliability of software products through comprehensive test planning, execution, and documentation. You will work closely with developers, product owners, and other QA team members in fast-paced, iterative sprints to deliver high-quality software solutions. You will be responsible for validating the functionality, performance, and reliability of a healthcare data orchestrator platform. This platform integrates HL7 and DICOM systems, communicates with cloud-based AI algorithms, and presents results to physicians through a desktop application built with Angular and Node.js.

Key Responsibilities
  • Analyze user stories and acceptance criteria to derive test scenarios.
  • Prepare detailed test plans aligned with sprint goals and release timelines.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand requirements and define quality objectives.
  • Create and maintain comprehensive test cases covering functional, sanity, and regression testing.
  • Execute manual test cases across web, desktop, and mobile platforms (as applicable).
  • Validate UI/UX, workflows, data integrity, and system behavior.
  • Actively participate in sprint planning, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.
  • Provide timely feedback on quality risks and test coverage during sprint cycles.
  • Identify, document, and track defects using issue tracking tools (e.g., Azure DevOps).
  • Collaborate with developers to reproduce, prioritize, and resolve issues.
  • Maintain detailed test execution records, screenshots, logs, and evidence for audit and compliance.
  • Prepare test summary reports and contribute to release documentation.
  • Suggest improvements to QA processes, tools, and practices.
  • Stay updated with industry trends and best practices in manual testing and Agile methodologies.
  • Validate data orchestration workflows involving HL7, DICOM, FHIR, and JSON formats.
  • Perform end-to-end testing of data de-identification, API gateway, and AI result integration.
Preferred skills

Primary skills:
  • Strong experience in manual testing of web and desktop applications.
  • Proficiency in API testing using tools like Postman, SoapUI, or RestAssured.
  • Knowledge of healthcare data standards: DICOM, HL7 v2/v3, FHIR, JSON, XML.
  • Understanding of PACS systems and AI-based healthcare workflows is a plus.
  • Experience testing applications in WebView2, browser environments, and iFrames.
  • Automation experience across Windows and Linux platforms.
Preferred Secondary Skills:
  • Experience with HL7 messaging standards (v2.x, v3.x, FHIR)
  • Familiarity with DICOM studies communication and parsing
  • Exposure to healthcare interoperability protocols and standards
Qualifications & Experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in manual testing of web and desktop applications.
  • Experience in healthcare domain with HL7 and DICOM workflows is highly preferred.
  • Strong understanding of Agile Scrum methodology.
  • Excellent analytical and communication skills.
