XP (X-ray Products) is one of the key Diagnostic Imaging modalities, with a product portfolio spanning Radiography, Fluoroscopy, Uroscopy, and Women’s Health. We, XP DevOps team is looking for an experienced Sr. Configuration Engineer to strengthen software configuration management, build engineering, release readiness, and DevOps automation across complex medical software solutions. In this role, you will provide and continuously improve the development, build, test, and deployment infrastructure used by development teams. You will work with IBM Rational ClearCase, Azure DevOps Server/Services, TFVC/Git, CI/CD pipelines, build tools, and automation scripts to enable reliable, traceable, and efficient software delivery.

Your Role and Responsibilities

Operate, administer, and improve software configuration management environments based on IBM Rational ClearCase, including usage guidance, branching strategies, traceability, and process compliance.

 • Create, execute, monitor, and maintain software builds for ClearCase-based projects using medmake, omake, MSBuild, and related tools.

• Design, maintain, and improve Azure DevOps Server CI/CD pipelines that support automated build, deployment, validation, and release workflows.

• Support development and maintenance of software projects that contribute to finished medical devices by enabling integration of components, modules, and technology stacks into deliverable product software.

• Build and maintain automation using Perl as a mandatory scripting language, together with PowerShell and other supporting technologies where needed.

• Automate setup and deployment activities across test, pre-production, and production-like environments within CI/CD pipelines.

• Develop tools and scripts that improve build reliability, packaging, reporting, validation, and feedback cycles for development teams.

• Investigate and resolve issues related to software builds, product packaging, installation, deployment environments, and infrastructure dependencies.

 • Drive continuous improvement by identifying new tools, technologies, workflows, and automation opportunities that reduce manual effort and improve quality.

• Collaborate closely with development, testing, infrastructure, architects, project managers, product owners, and global stakeholders.

• Create, maintain, and improve process descriptions, technical documentation, release artifacts, and configuration management procedures.

• Act as a DevOps and configuration management enabler for development teams, supporting adherence to established practices while improving delivery speed and reliability.

 Your Qualifications and Experience

• Graduate or postgraduate degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Medical or Life Sciences, or a related discipline.

• 7 to 13 years of experience in software development, software configuration management, build engineering, DevOps, or large multinational software development projects.

• Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience with IBM Rational ClearCase and builds using medmake and omake.

• Hands-on experience with Azure DevOps Server (formerly TFS) and CI/CD pipelines.

• Experience with source control systems including IBM Rational ClearCase, TFVC, and Git.

• Development experience in C# and .NET technologies, with strong scripting experience in Perl and working knowledge of PowerShell.

• Good understanding of software build systems, C# compilers, MSBuild, product packaging, and package management concepts such as Artifactory, Azure Artifacts, NuGet, npm, Maven, Python packages, and feeds.

• Strong understanding of Windows operating systems, server environments, virtualization, networking fundamentals, and infrastructure concepts relevant to build and deployment environments.

• Experience working in Scrum teams within Agile or SAFe-based software development organizations, with a solid understanding of Scrum ceremonies, sprint execution, SDLC, release management, configuration management principles, team collaboration, backlog-driven development, and continuous improvement practices.

• Experience with WiX Toolset and COIN packaging tools.

• Experience with migration from IBM Rational ClearCase to Git.

 • Experience with DevOps platforms and tools such as Azure DevOps Services, GitLab, GitHub, Jenkins, Ansible, Docker, Kubernetes, Terraform, or other Infrastructure-as-Code technologies.

• Experience defining KPIs for monitoring environments and operated software to provide proactive feedback to development and operations teams.

 • Knowledge of additional programming or scripting languages such as Python, JavaScript, Node.js, React, C, C++, Go, or PHP.

• Experience guiding international development teams on DevOps principles, CI/CD quality expectations, and build/release practices.

• Openness to take on Scrum Master responsibilities when required, by facilitating Agile ceremonies, supporting sprint planning and retrospectives, improving team transparency, and helping remove impediments in close collaboration with product owners and development team
