Your tasks and responsibilities: 
  • This is a collaborative opportunity where you will closely work with other engineering disciplines -  Product Management, Systems Engineering, Development and Testing
  • Lead a group of Product Owners
  • Develop and maintain Talent in your team. Facilitate career growth of your team members
  • Foster SHS purpose and values within your team and encourage team to use HPS practices/methodologies
  • Lead, develop, manage and provide functional and technical guidance. Develop highly motivated and committed team
  • Ensure timely escalation of all product issues to your stakeholders
  • Drive the integration of AI tools and workflow agents to streamline daily operations and automate repetitive administrative tasks, freeing the team to focus on strategic, high-value objectives
  • Ensure all team usage of AI technologies and Large Language Models (LLMs) adheres to internal security, privacy, and ethical compliance standards
  • Championing a culture of innovation by coaching team members in prompt engineering, effective human-AI collaboration, and the continuous upskilling required for the modern AI-driven workplace
  • As a Product Owner in Individual Contributor capacity, you will be customer voice for your scrum team(s)
  • Own creation of user stories along with your scrum team. Own Acceptance Criteria for owned user stories. 
  • Provide scrum team backlog management, iteration/sprint planning, and elaboration/grooming of the user stories
  • Work as part of and with cross-functional scrum teams and various stakeholders, including design/user experience, test engineering, system engineering and user experience
  • Prepare Team(s) backlog along with scrum team for Program Increment Planning. Drive” Definition of Ready” for user stories and features before Program Increment Planning
  • Work with Scrum team(s) and Lead System Engineer, Risk engineers and product manager to adequately help in feature refinements for purpose of program increment (PI) planning and PI roadmap planning
  • Contribute towards slicing of EPIC / Capability into ART Features. Contribute towards EPIC / CAPABILITY getting pulled and sliced down to multiple ART features, as needed.
  • Participate in POPM sync meeting. Support product manager towards getting feature finalized according to "Definition of Done"
  • You are responsible for reviewing user needs documentation (SRS), system and subsystem level design inputs (SFS and SSFS). 
  • Participate in Change Control Board (CCB). Supports proper Defect Management for Scrum Team defects
  • Support best practice implementation in design methodologies, development processes and tools
  • You are highly proficient with SAFe and agile processes and bring in experience as Team Leader.
 Your qualifications and experience: 
  • Bachelor’s Engineering degree (Life Sciences, Biomedical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field) and 14+ years of product and/or project development experience in software or hardware in a MedTech company.
  • 5+ years of direct people management experience in product development required. Track record of successfully leading teams and managing staff
  • You have gained significant experience in agile development (e.g. SAFe, SCRUM)
  • Demonstrating a high level of technical expertise in software development lifecycle practices 
  • A deep understanding of heavily regulated software development and medical device lifecycles (such as FDA regulations, EU MDR, and ISO 13485 implementation)
  • Hands-on experience with Good Documentation Practices, traceability, and Quality Management Systems (QMS) is highly valued 
  • Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO), PMI Agile Certified Practitioner (PMI-ACP), or SAFe Product Owner/Product Manager (POPM) certifications
  • Proven ability to break high-level features into detailed, testable user stories and acceptance criteria
  • Ability to influence across global locations and bridge the gap between technical teams, clinicians, marketing, and regulatory bodies
